Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I have yet to find a single flaw in this guitar. The look and feel are perfect. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Well I just got it but it looks pretty solid. General Your general opinion of this product. I love this guitar. The people at Gibson custom shop know their stuff. Yes this guitar is a bit expensive but you are getting a quality instrument. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This guitar has a rounded neck which I worried I might not like. I have always preferred thinner necks but this one is extremely comfortable. This guitar was meant for the blues. All Les Paul guitars are heavy but this one is just right for the weight. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It has that classic gibson tone. It is very easy to dial in a big jazz clean to a growling overdrive. Perfect PAF tone. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? the finish is absolutely perfect. Action How was the action out of the box? I found the action to be perfect for my tastes. Some people might prefer it lower though.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar is so much more than just an instrument: it is an heirloom right out of the box. Dependability? Atlanta Rhythm Section said it best: "Just lay down that back beat and crank up your trusty Gibson." Night after night after night! Reliability How has it stood up over time? Mine is new but similar models have been around since 1957 and are still getting it done night after night...no reason to think this one will be any different. General Your general opinion of this product. This is it: the best of the best. A guitar that is over and above anything I have played in nearly 45 years of playing and collecting guitars. The feel, the quality, the look, and the sound all come together in one fabulous instrument. There is a reason this instrument was the choice of some of the greatest guitarists in history: now you can own and experience those same reasons yourself. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck is fat, friendly, familiar, and easy to negotiate. It feels like an old friend that automatically directs my fingers to the correct places. The controls are player friendly and easy to reach. The high hat knobs also have that undeniable look that says: This is cool! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is simply incredible: It begins smooth, soulful, and singing with a hint of bite and very attack friendly. It then proceeds to run the gamut from soft and lush to bold and bodacious to full out stadium ready Rock and Roll...the Burstbucker Pups are awesome. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I was unsure how I would like the VOS treatment after reading some reviews but it truly looks like a 54 year old well cared for original. I have wanted a gold top Les Paul for many years and this one does not disappoint in any way. It is simply gorgeous and well worth my wait. From across the room, across the stage, or across the coliseum, the gold top shines and identifies like no other. Action How was the action out of the box? Absolutely wonderful! The VOS Plek treatment leaves the action, intonation, and ease of play second to none of all the guitars I have ever played. The fat 50's neck profile feels incredible and even with my short fingers has "that feel" you play a Gibson for...I love it!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Impeccable! Reliability How has it stood up over time? Built like a 47 Ford Tractor: Always ready to go General Your general opinion of this product. I’ve owned Strats, Teles, Les Paul Standards, Classics and Studios, but nothing compares to the 57 Re-Issue Goldtop. What can be said about the Les Paul Goldtop that hasn’t already been said? It’s the golden soufflé of guitars! Creamy and crunchy! Totally decadent. Duane Allman and Freddie King made them wail. Dickey Betts painted his red one night and Neil Young painted his black. Joe Bonamassa played his while looking like an English Lit professor, and the rest of us just hit the strings and hold on through hours of unbelievable sustain. This is the guitar you’ve been searching for. Make a meal of this gourmet guitar! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? She's heavy and the neck is thick. It's a real guitar with substance. Biscuits and gravy goodness! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Deeply pleasing...think Duane Allman and Dickey Betts at the Fillmore. Does it get any better? Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Like the hand-rubbed lacquer on a fine hotrod! Action How was the action out of the box? Smokin'

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Geez. It's a Les Paul. This thing is constructed so well I'm surprised it's not more expensive. Don't get me wrong, 3700 bucks is not a small amount, but I own guitars that are thousands more, and don't have this guitar's MOJO. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it, but based on Gibson's record, plus the overall feel of this instrument, this is going to be alive and kicking for 100 years. General Your general opinion of this product. I own a guitar shop and sell high-end guitars like Gibson, G&L & PRS. This is the best guitar I've ever played. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Light weight! I have played Gibsons all my life and this has the best weight/balance/feel of any guitar, Gibson or otherwise, of all of them. This guitar is miles ahead of the next best Gibson I've played, and that guitar was twice the price of this one! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Even a wine connoisseur could not come up with the adjectives worthy of this question. I'll try... the only way to describe the tone is "willing to please". It can be bright and snappy, dark, smooth, hot, mellow, thick, thin, etc, depending on pickup selection and vol/tone adjustment. The coolest thing is that I don't have to work very hard to quickly find the exact tone I'm looking for on a given song. This guitar is magic. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Better than I expected and the pictures on the websites and videos look great, but you should see it in person. Action How was the action out of the box? Perfect. First time I can say this, even for Gibson. The custom shop does the best work in the business. You can really tell they take pride in their work. Everything was flawless.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This is the finset crafted electric guitar in the world Reliability How has it stood up over time? Like a Rolls Royce General Your general opinion of this product. This guitar has far exceeded my expectations Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The 50's neck profile allows me to play with less stress on my joints. I have arthritis and I don't get any discomfort with this neck profile. The 60s necks give me a little cramping on a gig Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone has it all. I can make this guitar whisper talk yell and scream. It reminds me of a human voice in this respect Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I like the brand new look better. the "Aging" is superbly done and it looks and smells like a closet queen with the nitro so sweet Action How was the action out of the box? perfect
