Better than any of my other guitars that have been "professionally" setup. I'm not expert, but the quality of the parts and craftsmanship seems to be above and beyond my other guitars. This is my first custom shop guitar and the craftsmanship between this and my other guitars, again, is worth the price. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Have had it a day. Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Heavy, fast, and chunky. Neck is fast. Feels like it was made for me. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone is incredible. Played through my Mesa Lone Star Special, Vox AC15, and Fender Reverb Deluxe Reissue. Sounded great each time. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Perfection. These guitars look as though they've been around for a while, but not the cheesy rode-worn look that you find in some other models. Action How was the action out of the box? Perfection.

How was the action out of the box? PLEK action was great out of the box. I'm like everybody else and will adjust to my preference which is a bit lower action. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The CS box was still sealed when I got this guitar. CS quality is as close as us average guitar players will get to original 50's Les Pauls. This 58 is solid as a rock. I have a few CS Les Pauls and all have been very dependable. Reliability How has it stood up over time? It's new but will age to perfection as all of the nitro finishes do. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This 58's top has a very cool birdseye bookmatch on the pickup selector side. Everything is flawless and the sound through a tube amp is over the top. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is a chunky Les Paul neck. Fills your hands. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Pickups are typical Burstbucker with that 50's PAF sound through a tube amp and a bit of overdrive. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The washed cherry color is stunning. Not too bright like the heritage cherry finish. Looks like an older guitar. The VOS finish has a cool vibe.

I THINK THAT THE THICK NECK MIGHT BE ONE OF THE LINKS TO THE MONSTER TONE. THE 59 IS EXACTLY THE SAME EXCEPT FOR THE FRETS SIZE BUT THESE FRETS ARE PERFECT AND THE INTONATION IS PEFECT VERY WELL DONE.
