Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Excellent, they say you will get a AA top and I did, was worried about that since it really "luck of the draw" Gibsons AA tops can vary from A to AAA for the very same guitar. Big drawback for me on ordering, but I got what I wanted, definitely AA top. Have yet to find a flaw on the craftmenship. Top post on the bridge is a little loose in the guitar. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Don't yet know, it's 3 weeks old for me and only 3 shows in, but like the manual says, with proper care it will probably out live me. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This is a fantastic instrument, nothing feels quite like it. There is a definite silkyness to this axe. Top notch looks, great wood. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Everything is awesome except for the fret dressing. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? All the tones are there. Was quite excited about the rhythm selector up with a little highs off the tone knob, Jazz city! This guitar can truly do it all, I primarily use this guitar for loud rock, it screams with the Dimebucker in the bridge. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Absolutely Gorgeous, stunning guitar. Action How was the action out of the box? UGHHH! $2700 for a guitar that buzzes on the G B and high E from 1st fret to 6th. Plek system my a$$. This guitar should be able to drop 1/32 to 1/16 lower on action out of the box but I can't get it that low because of the buzz. Needs a luthier's touch. Will be in shop soon, very disappointed in that. What am I supposed to do? Send it back? No, she's mine now. I played 3 others of the same guitar, none had the buzzing.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Every bit the quality you expect it to be. Nothing less. Reliability How has it stood up over time? So far (5 months) the guitar has held up great. The glossy finish is wearing at the top where his arm lays against the body when playing, but he loves it because it's his own wear and tear, kind of like a tattoo your proud of. Overall Your general opinion of this product. First...I bought this guitar for my 14 year old son who has been playing two years. He has the Gibson SG, American Fender Strat, and three LTD's. Since I bought the Standard Plus he has only played the Fender a couple times. He continuously plays the Standard. You cannot comparing the Gibson Standard to the others, it's awesome. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? He loves the weight and feel. It's not too heavy. Recommend a nice strap to maximize on comfort. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The best description is powerful. It can be mean and smooth at the same time. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Some wear now because he plays about 5 hours a day, every day. Out of the box it was gorgeous and flawless. Still looks incredible. Action How was the action out of the box? Excellent.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It seems to be built like a tank Reliability How has it stood up over time? Too Early to say Overall Your general opinion of this product. The best guitar i have ever owned. I have had several Les Pauls over the years but this is definitely the best. It feels great, sounds great, and once i start playing it i don't want to put it down. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This guitar feels powerful in your hands. It is meaty and yet so silky smooth to play. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is smooth but with a little bight to it. I can hear clarity in all the notes even with cranked overdrive. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Beautiful Action How was the action out of the box? Not bad but i didn't get it adjusted and it is amazing now.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I personally consider this guitar a piece of art...My impression is that this guitar is built very well, but, IT IS A GIBSON USA ... WHAT MORE CAN YOU EXPECT!! GIBSON USA LES PAUL IS THE EPITOME OF GUITARS...IT IS THE GUITAR THAT HAS BEEN PLAYED IN EVERY GENRE OF MUSIC...AND ANY TRUE AFICIANADO OF GUITARS EITHER WANTS OR HAS AT LEAST 1 IN THEIR COLLECTION!!! Reliability How has it stood up over time? I have only owned mine for 3 weeks now, but with care that should be given to a guitar of this caliber, It will definitely outlast me! Overall Your general opinion of this product. Alot of people (traditionalists) like to argue that the chambered body takes away from the natural tone of a Les Paul..I beg to differ. The weight relief is a VERY nice touch and as far as the tone this guitar has THAT GIBSON tone, mabey slightly different, but none the less, Les Paul TONE. THE finish of mine (Desert Burst) is top notch, very beautiful...pix do non of these Les Pauls justice on the web...go check them out at your local music haunt to REALLY see how beautiful these guitars are. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Though, not as heavy as a traditional non-chambered, it still has that Les Paul feel on your shoulders (not anvil heavy, but not swing around your head Ibanze light) Really love the assemetrical neck profile, I did not think it was that much different than the standard "chunkiness" of a Paul...It plays GREAT!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is whatever you want it to be....guitar straight to valve head what you would expect from good ole' Les Paul...add any thing in the signal chain and you can achieve anything you are looking for, but amazingly the les pauls tone is not lost with processing....the burstbucker pros are very well balanced pick ups!! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I purchased mine in Desert Burst....All I can say i "WOW"..pix did not do this guitar justice. The flame maple under the stain just "pops" out at you when you look at it. It is a pain to keep clean, but I play I don't display ;) Action How was the action out of the box? action out of the box was amazing...it was a plekd guitar...and I have to say that is a great technology. I immediately changed to new Gibson Brite Wires 10's - 46's last thing i did was set the bridge just slightly lower and...wala..this thing plays like butter!!
