Action How was the action out of the box? Very good setup. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The pickups, electronics, neck and body woods, frets, tuners and finish are very good as to be expected but that is where it stops. The cap where the binding connect has a lip and should have been trimmed down before spraying same, on the neck this is something I can take care of but should not have to this flaw should have been picked up during inspection and at the store before being sold.Totally dispointed. My wife bought it for me and she thought she did good so I am going to live with this and not return it. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Don't know yet General Your general opinion of this product. Sounds like a les paul should. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Easy to play not real fast. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? the tone is bit bright but not uncontrollable pull the treble to 7 and it mellows out well. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? the finish is good ,I bought this color and finish because it looks like it's ready to play not put in the case and stuck in the closet cause you don't want to get a scratch on it.
Finally a Real Les Paul!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very Well Made and Toneful!! Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've only had it a few days but It's great so far!! General Your general opinion of this product. Excellent..i love the tone of the all Mahogany body..It reminds me of my old Les Paul Special but it has more sustain.. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck is slim and perfect..The Plek job on the frets is flawless!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Pickups are hot, and push my old tube amp into overdrive with ease..That's a good thing by the way!! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I like the Satin Finish..It's not sticky like nitro.. Action How was the action out of the box? Perfect!! I just put the strings of my choice on it, and was good to go!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Excellent quality, no finish flaws noted. Intonation and setup was great, right out of the box Reliability How has it stood up over time? Gigging 3 nights per week, since recieved about a month prior to this review. No issues. General Your general opinion of this product. Excellent tone and playability, beautiful craftsmanship. Very happy with this guitar. Wish I had bought a Les Paul years ago!! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The 60's slim taper neck is very comfortable and fast Controls are right where you expect, but really your're just gonna dime 'em out, right? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Versitle tone, very clean sounding, no unwanted grunge. no unpleaseant surprises. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Vintage Sunburst. Very nice finish, no flaws noted. Need to take a bit more care with the nitro laquer though. Action How was the action out of the box? setup was great, even with the factory strings. actually left them on for a few days. Changed them just before my first gig with this guitar. GHS boomers 10's or 11's work well. Playing 11's now, no need to change setup

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I cant stop looking at it and very well put together Reliability How has it stood up over time? Ive had it for a month and every time I open the case it looks and smells brand new. (I guess Gibson has its own mahogany smell) General Your general opinion of this product. Its a great guitar Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The thing is ive been a charvel ibanez Jackson strat kinda guy my whole life so I never thought of Gibson as a choice for me and at first I could tell the difference in feel right away.but after I plugged her in I understand what all the hype is about Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It's the best tone I've ever heard in any of my guitars Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Beautiful not too much shine and I can really feel the wood Action How was the action out of the box? It played pretty well ,my only complaint is the b and high e wouldn't keep tuned and would also make that ( ting) noise when adjusting the tuners.the tuning problem has stopped but the ting hasn't stopped but I here it goes away
my first Gibson Vintage sunburst
