General Your general opinion of this product. this is the first gibson that has noisy humbucker pups,i took it to thier service center and was told everything is grounded but they could try to replace the pups,i went to my local music store & tried another one with open coils same thing so i left it alone for now. gibson must be making them hotter now for some reason i have the same pups on a sg special 490r & 490t and no noise. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? mine has finish issues dull area under neck pup & front of guitar you can see where they joined the wood together looks like they used three pieces it shows right through the gloss ebony finish. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? very good playability slim neck & very fast, controls are regular les paul layout easy to get to. As far as weight kind of heavy must be the grade of mahogany used. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Can be bright & snappy probably because fretboard is maple this is something I like and it still has that dark & smooth les paul tone as well,as I stated before pups are hot or over wound. Guitar has a lot of static electricity for some reason it's like a dust magnet, maybe it was overly staticaly charged for the paint & finish to take to it on high gain you can hear crackling as you slide your hand up & down neck even after you dust it off. Action How was the action out of the box? Was ok but i always set it to my liking intonation was off on a couple of strings. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Not as good as I would of liked "see above" I didn't return it because all they had left was scratch and dent I may have ended up with one worse,if static noise don't stop after I wipe down with an antistatic dust repellent I may have to send off for warranty. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had it less than two months

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This Les Paul is very well made. Frets are smooth and level. No flaws, intonation was spot on. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it but I expect it to hold up just like my other Les Pauls. General Your general opinion of this product. This a great price for this guitar. Made in USA and high quality. I bought 2 of these Les Paul Junior Special. The other on has the P90's. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck feels good, not fat and not too thin. Controls are nice and smooth. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Has that great Les Paul tone. Very smooth neck pickup, bridge pickup is brighter. Both together sound great. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Finish is perfect, I could find no flaws. I got the Ebony. Action How was the action out of the box? Action was a little low but I always set all my guitars up to my own specs. I use D'Addario 10's and set the string height at 2/32 across the board.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The guitar had a large dent (pencil eraser sized) on the back side of the body upon removal from the gig bag. No evidence of damage was visible on the cartons. Would seem that it was shipped from Gibson that way, or I received a "dent & scratch" item instead of the "new" guitar I paid for. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I'll never know because I put it back into the gig bag and boxes without even tuning-up and testing. General Your general opinion of this product. Very disappointed. I've collected many guitars over 40+ years of playing including a Rickenbacker 360-12, Gibson SG's, Fender Tele's and Strat's,a Takamine, Ibanez RG, etc. I've never received a "new" guitar in this kind of damaged condition before. As an active musician and collector, I was really excited to add this guitar to my "family". It was a great looking guitar and seemed well made except for this defect. I hope this is not an indication of the way Gibson is doing business today. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? N/A Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? N/A Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Stain color looked great except for the DENT. Action How was the action out of the box? I'll never know.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It's put together well Reliability How has it stood up over time? Not sure, because I sent it back the same day! General Your general opinion of this product. This one should have not left Gibson's Shop! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The guitar feels nice, light weight. The neck feels like your playing an epiphone! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Pickups sound great. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I ordered the tobacco color. This one had a finish flaw on the top front of body....The guitar had some thick scratch damage under the gloss finish Action How was the action out of the box? Action was OK, but again the neck, fingerboard felt bad!!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? As I mentioned before, quality control got this one right. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just bought it but I think it should last as long as I need it to. General Your general opinion of this product. This is one of the best Gibson’s I have ever owned. The baked maple was a great surprise as to over all feel. It was much darker than in the pictures. I know people have complained about the BM but it is not an issue. It also seems quality control has gotten better since I bought my 60's tribute last year. Jump on the guitar before it is gone. Les Paul Juniors with HB are the best. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It is very heavy for a junior. The neck is 60's but not as slim as the neck on my 60's tribute. Balances very well when playing. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Very mellow pickups. I would think it would be great for blues and classic rock, not much more. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Paint was awesome. I love the feel of satin. No missing paint like my 60's tribute. Action How was the action out of the box? I set up all my guitars to my liking so you cannot judge it. It stayed in tune so I'll say the action was good.
