Amazing!
Quality:
Quality is superb. Keep it humidified and treat it right and it will last forever.
Sound:
Sound is unbelievable! The thing has amazing tone. The bass, mid, and highs all blend very well together. The LR Baggs is a very great pickup as well, and really brings out the natural sound of the guitar.
Reliability:
I've had it for just a couple months but so far it's just getting better. It breaks in very nicely.
Overall:
Bought one from a local shop a few months ago. I was looking for a guitar that really fit my sound and had a great feel. I played a D35 and a Hummingbird, and although they were both great guitars I needed something that had the best of both worlds when it came to sound, and I found that in the J45.
Playability and Feel:
The feel is great for me. The neck is a little chunkier than the Martin's I've had in the past, but it still plays great. I have no trouble playing anything on this guitar.
Tone:
Tone was the biggest reason for my purchase. It has a great deep tone but does not lack on the high's or mid's either. This is a very well rounded guitar. There is a reason why it has been a favorite of many musicians for so many years. Again, the pickup is very natural sounding, and I will put it on all my acoustic guitars.
Finish:
Paint and finish are flawless. Gibson really took the time to make it look great. It's a Gibson!
Action:
Action is perfect for me. But just like any guitar, you will want to have it set up to your style and liking.

very well made, looks like it should last more than a life time
Sound:
better than anything out there
Reliability:
only had it a few weeks but it seems built really well, the finish is amazing, like glass
Overall:
great guitar, played several higher end acoustics before picking this one
Playability and Feel:
nice neck, similar to a 50s style les paul, not crazy about the battery being in the sound hole. (have to back off strings to change it)but it would be a shame to add any extra holes in the guitar, so i see where they are coming from with this design
Tone:
the lows are unreal like nothing else ive heard, nice balanced mids & highs. tuned to drop D it sounds amazing. excelent guitar for recording.
Finish:
amazing
Action:
strings were a little heavy for my taste out of the box, but that was a easy fix

Great Blues Guitar!
Quality:
It looks beautiful and is a high quality instrument. There does not seem to be many of these available. I am not sure what might be happening with this model.
Sound:
Warm rich bass, thinner and more out front than my Martin HD-28. It could have a bit more depth but over all it has great projection and is very balanced. Plugged in it's sweet! It is still na outstanding guitar.
Reliability:
Looks well made but it had a loose hunk of wood knocking around on the inside. No biggie but Gibson's notoriously lacking in quality control. The guitars are as great as the name so they get away with it. Us die hard fans still buy them. Some of the problems I have had lately may make me rethink this. This guitar looks like it will be a good one. Having had 3 new Gibsons, I am not overly impressed with the reliabilty in the previous two. The workmanship has been somwwhat sloppy in guitars of this caliber.
Overall:
Understated elegance, the vintage sunburst finish really sets it off.
Playability and Feel:
Great playability. As I said it is slightly high but really not bad. I love the feel of the neck. I know lowering it too much can really affect the tone. It likely only needs a small adjustment.
Tone:
It is brighter and thinner than a Martin but is very warm and punchy at the same time. The bass is phenomenal. Very rich and smooth. I expect it will be great for recording.
Finish:
The finish is great! On the negative side, it had polish haze and dust left on it. The folks in Bozeman do not seem to be real careful about presentation upon leaving the factory. This is the 2nd one I bought new with hunks of wood knocking around in it. All minor but at $2400 bucks you expect better.
Action:
Action is great, maybe slightly high but very nice to the hand. A set up will make it perfect, but it is pretty good right out of the box.
