Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This thing is built like a tank. Really wouldn't change a thing. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had it for a month now so only time will tell. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I have two other gibson SG's, a SG standard in ebony and a SG '61 reissue. This has become my favorite one to pick up and play. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? My biggest surprise on this guitar was how small the neck was. Compared to my other SG's it is night and day. When I first picked it up to play I was having problem changing chords because my fingers kept bumping into each other. After a week of playing it consistently I have gotten used to it and really love it now. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? This thing sounds awesome. I am the biggest AC/DC fan there is. When I plug my ipod into my surround system and crank my amp up and play along with AC/DC it matches it perfectly and that isn't with a good tube amp. I play through a Marshall MG100HDFX and I can still get an alright AC/DC sound through it. Next purchase will be a good tube amp. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The paint is beautiful. Ebony is already my favorite color on anything especially on a guitar. Action How was the action out of the box? Right out the box all I had to do was tune it up and of course with new strings it went out of tune every few minutes but once the strings were stretched it stays in tune a lot better.
