Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I gave this a three for reasons stated above Reliability How has it stood up over time? Ummm jury is still out on that one General Your general opinion of this product. Overall this is a good guitar but not great. Gibson needs to step to the plate in quality. I had to send the first one back because the front pick up didn't work. That's not an AMS thing. AMS was excellent about the return no problems there. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck is fast overallbut the rest of the question because of the frets but shame on Gibson. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Nice Gibson tone. SGs are snappier than Les Pauls but you knew that Finish How did the stain or paint job look? It's a nice satin finish but Gibson could've used more sanding sealer for a smoother finish. Action How was the action out of the box? Action is decent. The neck is flat but the frets could have been better dressed. I was hoping that AMS would have the fret size listed (they don't) so I can buy the apropriate file to redress them. Sharp edges because the fret aren't properly dressed is a pain(literally)
