Thin and wide. close in weight to my original. the controls are in a different position but not that bad and they are seperated a little so that is good i think(they had to do something or people would "relic" and pass off as originals. there are other differences, like the beveling around the horns is not as deep or pronounced, but this dosent effect playing. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? tone is great. I CHANGED SOME STUFF i never played it with the P-90 so this section might not fit so well for my review. it was also given a complete fret dressing and setup with a bone nut and now its like butter. I think once you have a guitar with this kind of treatment you never want to play a guitar" off the wall" again. but that could be me. i read somewhere that these were Pleked? not sure never saw it? Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Really nice, no fadeing all the edges are even and clean. the neck joint is clean and crisp with no blobing. It is a Nitro laquer which is a soft finish i feel. and as such will remind you of any illadvised contact for years to come. dont get me wrong its a great finish but if youve had one you know what i mean. Action How was the action out of the box? had a complete setup done so dont know.
