Awesome! couldent ask for a better deal as the originals are 2500. and up this is a deal, i wanted one to put a DimeBucker into, all i can say is "DO IT" you will not regret it one bit. this thing screams like a witch and grinds like a chainsaw, but still cleans up nice!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
the neck is nice and smooth. Thin and wide. close in weight to my original. the controls are in a different position but not that bad and they are seperated a little so that is good i think(they had to do something or people would "relic" and pass off as originals. there are other differences, like the beveling around the horns is not as deep or pronounced, but this dosent effect playing.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
tone is great. I CHANGED SOME STUFF i never played it with the P-90 so this section might not fit so well for my review. it was also given a complete fret dressing and setup with a bone nut and now its like butter. I think once you have a guitar with this kind of treatment you never want to play a guitar" off the wall" again. but that could be me. i read somewhere that these were Pleked? not sure never saw it?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Really nice, no fadeing all the edges are even and clean. the neck joint is clean and crisp with no blobing. It is a Nitro laquer which is a soft finish i feel. and as such will remind you of any illadvised contact for years to come. dont get me wrong its a great finish but if youve had one you know what i mean.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
had a complete setup done so dont know.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Great quality made in the USA. If it will break it's because of me and not because of lack of craftsmanship down in Nashville.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Great but I'll change the tuners to Sperzels locking tuners.

A light(weight)Guitar with great value that is easy to play.
I used to own a Vintage LP JR from 1954 and compared to this guitar it's just expensive garbage.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Fast thin 60s neck. I will "satin" the back for faster action.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This thing growl. It feels brighter in tone than other mahogany - P90 guitars I own.
If it's because SGs thin body or the maple in the fret-board I dunno. I like it bright. There is always a tone control right?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Great paint job. And nitro!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action was amazingly low and ready to go.
I will lower the E and A strings a little.
