I had to wait 2 months for the padding to break in and when it broke in, the seat padding is now obsolete. I knew I should have returned it but, I needed something. I am 6'2 180. Now, I have to buy an expensive cushion for this well built chair.

I’ll start off with I’m not the smallest guy but I’m not the biggest guy either. I’ll say the back rest is a waste of time. It’s too close to the seat and pushes me forward. It’s a constant battle. I asked my drummer if I was doing something wrong. He’s regular sized and he was being pushed forward too. We tried to adjust the backrest but couldn’t find a comfortable spot. I considered returning the throne but I think I waited too long. AMS was great with the purchase and delivery. I’ve purchased a few guitars and a bass and they all worked out. I will use them again.

I actually purchased this throne for me as I play guitar... As a long time drummer has always used thrones for playing guitar even adapter my years of playing drums! The throne is sturdy, dependable and comfortable... of course the backrest is just an absolute plus.... Definitely would recommend

So I am a heavy set guy, about 280lbs - 290lbs, and finding a decent throne is difficult. Also I have chronic back issues and being able to rest my back when I need it and having it be super sturdy is a plus. 10 out of 10 product, and 10 out of 10 customer service from AMS. You won't be disappointed

Do you practice hours a day? Do you play a show and afterwards have back problems? You you set up near a wall so you can rest your back? Then this is the throne for you!!! I have been playing for over 20 years now, and this throne is the best I’ve had in my life! I suffer from osteoporosis, and other ailments that limit my playing anymore, so back, knee, and joint pain plague me every day. My biggest problem was back pain. I’d play a set, and half way through, my back would be killing me. People think that’s the worse, but when you’re breaking everything down and packing it all up on your own, (I know you can relate lol) it bothers you for days after. Thanks to American Musical, I have finally found the throne that works wonders for me! The back rest really helps your posture and supports in a way that helps with your playing. I always found an issue with finding the right height with my set and the throne. Instead of getting up, unscrewing the nut, struggling to get the height right, tightening it, and then doing it all over again when it’s kit right, it holds a feature where you simply spin the seat, and it lowers/raises the height with ease! The term “struggling musician” rings true with myself and many other musicians, but with the help of American Musical, I was able to make small installments a month just from the shows I play! If you don’t use this company, then you’re going to the wrong place! 0% financing. NO credit check, and top of the line instruments, why need to go anywhere else!!!

Bought this for my drummers and they loved it. It was an immediate turn around causing them to be focused and locked in during service time. They love the ability it has to triple lock the adjustment into place. The backrest is a God-sent and allows for seconds of rest that totally help sustain effective play for the whole service. Man this was a great buy!!!!!

Most drummers after long periods of time usually have back issues. If I am the only one, well so be it. I bought this chair to fit the role of relieving my back. First assembly i didnt tighten all bolts so it felt like you were going to fall off chair. After I tightened everything it was fine. The main issue is this chair is very uncomfortable! It feels like your sitting on the same stool that comes as stock item with any drumset you purchase. After 15-20 minutes of playing on this chair your constantly squirming in the chair. Backrest is fine, but man this thing needs more cushion, or some different cushion. As i had already threw the box away I could not send this item back. Highly recommend that anyone looking for a chair first find a local music shop and test chairs before buying online.

I have a bad lower right back, hip & knee from car accidents. It hurts to stand and play for any length of time. This throne is built like a tank, adjustable and very comfortable! I highly recommend it for all musicians that have a hard time standing to play.

I’m not a percussionist... just a lowly slack key guitarist tired of bar stools, piano benches and road cases passing for furniture as I ply my trade. Decided to buy one of these after watching a drummer get up from his kit after a 45 minute set and walk away without doing an imitation of Quasimodo.
This throne is the nicest thing I’ve done for myself in a long time. Now I can concentrate on my music performance instead of a painful keister and lower back!
