Excellent guitar Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I am totally please with the quality and craftman ship. Excellent korean workmanship. 2 words I never thought I would say in the same sentence but there you go. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Had it 3 weeks so far. And I am ignoring my fender! General Your general opinion of this product. It was a love affair the minute I set eyes on it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I liked the heavy feel.but the thin body makes it easy to play for hours without feeling tired. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is bright and snappy and the twang has that classic gretsch sound. I'm running it thru a vox4actv and she sings! Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I ordered it walnut. It has a beautiful deep rich re wine look. Beautiful looking guitar! Action How was the action out of the box? A quick tune a little tweaking and see was singing in my hands. couldn't of been more please right from the start.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very well made. No need to spend thousands for a beautiful, awesome-sounding guitar, especially if you're not all that gifted musically. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Too soon to tell (I just bought it). General Your general opinion of this product. A beautiful, nice playing instrument. Looks more expensive than it is. I agonized between this and the 5120 before I bought it. I believe I made the right choice. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It is a bit heavier than I expected, but not uncomfortably so. The neck is thinner than my acoustic guitar. The controls are easily accessible. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone on my inexpensive tube amp is rich and throaty, full of "sixties vibe." Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Perfect. The walnut stain finish is a deep, rich reddish brown color. Action How was the action out of the box? Great-very playable.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It is made very well. Comparable to any similar guitar. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Have only had it short while but I expect it to hold up as good as any other quality guitar because it is well made. General Your general opinion of this product. It is a great guitar for the price. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I previously owned a Country Gentleman and it feels as good. The neck was perfect out of the case. It plays like a great guitar and I have had a few including a 58 Les Paul and Gretsch Country Gentleman but like all musicians had to sell them for the money. That is one reason I got the Electomatic, I could afford it. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The rhythm pickup gives you that smooth Jazz sound. The mix between the two is very unique to Gretsch and sounds great. har to explain the sound there. The treble pickup is unique as well but I probably would like a little more brightness, but again it does the job. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is perfect. Action How was the action out of the box? The action is excellent.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Without question very high quality as far as the actual build, fit, finish and tone. I have the option of replacing the less than stellar tuners, although part of the charm of an Electromatic is getting great sound out of a guitar that doesn't need a lot of flash to shine. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Everything is in original working order with only one complaint. I had to replace the failed harness with a TV Jones set up, but frankly that was on my to do list even before the original harness failed. General Your general opinion of this product. Hands down one of the best values on the market. Far beyond the competition at this price point. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The layout of the controls is efficient, logical, and it took no time at all to become comfortable and proficient at accessing them without looking. It's a very playable and comfortable guitar. The body is light, and the thinner style adds to the comfort. The neck is quite fast and solid feeling. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It is easy to get a range of tones from bright and edgy to dark and round, chimey to gritty. It has characteristics of the deeper hollow bodies and yet the presence, sustain, and power of a solid body. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Again here's where you get real value. This is one gorgeous looking guitar. When I take it out of the case it immediately attracts attention. It has a good hard paint job, well beyond what one would expect given the low price. Action How was the action out of the box? The guitar was set up beautifully. As much as I was tempted to tweak things a bit, I found no reason to.
