Just what I was looking for in a nylon a/e
Your general opinion of this product.
For a made in China guitar, generally well-built.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Some glue visible near bridge. String height needed adjustment. Small flaw in finish under E/A strings.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Neck was very smooth. Satin finish makes it very easy to move around. For a nylon string guitar it plays really well. One reason I got this one is the 1 3/4" nut makes a smoother transition from steel string acoustics.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Solid cedar top gives it a very warm, mellow sound which is exactly what I was looking for.
How was the action out of the box?
The action out of the box was very high. I took it to a tech and had him bring it down quite a bit. Just be careful when doing this not to get it too low. Nylon strings need more wiggle room.
How did the stain or paint job look?
99% great. One small flaw under the E/A string on the top, Looks like something got stuck in the finish coat.
How has it stood up over time?
Guitar is very well built. Truss rod adjustment has not been necessary at all. Fishman electronics sound wonderful and are very reliable.
