Wow! What a wonderful surprise to have discovered that Guild is back in the game. Just ordered this a week ago. Arrived promptly...Beautiful construction with no detail overlooked. I recommend this guitar to anyone wanting a phenomenal Acoustic Guitar with a beautiful case for under 2K. Absolutely delicious. Remedied the "higher than expected" action at the saddle. Took less than 30 minutes on my bench. Wish Guild provided info on which Phosphor Bronze Strings they ship D20 strung with. Will be switching these out for D'Addario Phosphor Bronze EJ26 or EJ16 on the first string change.

This guitar sounds amazing!!! It comes with a super nice case too. I think it sounds better than the all mahogany martins for less money plus you get a hard case with humidity control built in. You definitely won’t be disappointed with this guitar

I needed a guitar that matches my singing voice. Tested both the Guild D20 and Martin D15M side by side. They both sounded deep, rich, warm and velvety. The Martin has a little more bass but the Guild has more volume and more dynamic, you can hear more note separation at the high end. Got the guitar two business days later in the mail. Very impressed with the packaging, the case, and the workmanship. Very comfortable to handle. I was surprised how light it is, it's even lighter than my Grand Auditorium. Neck profile feels great, very playable.

Mine is #323 out of the new Guild California factory. Have had it one week and am very happy with it.
All solid mahogany construction (top, back, sides and neck)and is real pattern mahogany, not sapelle. The woods are all high quality and the dark rosewood finger board and bridge complement the Vintage Burst coloring giving the guitar a very smokey overall look to it. The satin finish is done remarkably well and gives this plain looking guitar a little character. The open tuners are of good quality and the cream tuning knobs give it a retro look. I could find no faults with the build quality. Quality control is obviously taken very seriously. This is a well made guitar
Sound is what you would expect from an all mahogany guitar. Slightly more woody and dark then a spruce topped guitar with great lows and somewhat subdued trebles. Like the overall looks, the sound is what I would call smokey also; tone changes don't jump out at you but are a little subdued and fits my voice.
