DIDN'T know it was a Dgitech product (I have a phobia of them) but since this says Hardwire I think the curse may be lifted. VERY RUGGED.
Sound:
I run a 3 way pickup system in my Taylor 110, LR BAGGS M1 ACTIVE, K&K PURE WESTERN, and an ARTEC condensor mic. In pasive the tone holds true, Active it processes the sound a lil too much for my taste, but I needed a looper not a delay pedal. IT ROCKS AS LOOP!

JUST GOT IT
Overall:
One of the most awsome things in God's creation!
Playability and Feel:
SUPER DUPER EASY TO TWEEK and lots and lots of control.

Finish:
I'm about function no apperance. But they do remind me of OLD SCHOOL transformers. I DIG IT.
Action:
A few tweeks andI was soundin' like a full band with just my guitar and mic. (I bought a second to run my vocals through)
Skill Level:
Semi-Pro

Awesome Pedal!
Quality:
Sound:
Doesn't suck tone and I can afford it. Thats all I need. I love the Plate best. Sounds great, really great. Lets be real, your looking at this because its an affordable pedal. Your probably not First Call sesson player. Thats why you are hear. It does many things well.
Reliability:
I've had this for almost a year and she is doing just fine. Not worried.
Overall:
I never thought of trying out the Hardwire line. thought it was a gimmick. watched some YouTube videos, and took a chance. Glad I did. You could find something better, but for me its perfect. If you have an Effects Loop, sounds better though the loop.

The good, the bad and the ugly
Quality:
Very well made.A huge amount of tweakability,from a tight,slapback echo,to infinite repeats.
Sound:
It doesn't rob any tone from your guitar-true bypass really shines through.
Reliability:
Only had it a few weeks. It will eat up batteries very quickly, though!
Overall:
Very good delay pedal-lots of control over parameters.
Playability and Feel:
Most difficult time for me was getting it to repeat when I wanted to hear it.I want to be able to hear it very little while I'm playing, but be more noticable when I pause. It wants to be very overwhelming and in your face all the time.
Tone:
Can't adjust tone, but it doesn't seem to color your sound at all.The modulated echo is very usefull for clean parts, not so good for distorted tones.
Finish:
Finish was outstanding.
Action:
Action was good.

You won't regret getting this awesome delay pedal!
Quality:
Very well made.
Sound:
Tone is true in digital delay, and the analog mode is very realistic.
Reliability:
No issues with reliability.
Overall:
This is a great delay. I am using it in the high powered effects loop of a 100 watt tube amp and delay doesn't clip like my Boss DD-3 does.
Playability and Feel:
The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the Looper function. The 20 second loop functions perfectly but is not long enough for some of my music, however, I did not buy this for the looper.
Tone:
Tone is awesome! If you are having problems like I was with a delay clipping in the effect loop, this Hardwire DL-8 is the answer. It repeats what you put in, and analog is simply unbelievable for a digital delay. I have owned alot of delay's, including EH Memory Man Deluxe, Boss DD-3, Boss Gigadelay, and Malecko 600, and this one is hands down the best. If I could only have one, this would be it.
Finish:
Extremely rugged and built like a tank.
