Product Review I bought mine in 1995 (24 years ago) and the only thing I have ever done to it is replace the pre-amp tube around 5 years ago. It was still working but had become slow to warm up. I've gigged with it since day one and it continues to perform excellently. I play a Rickenbacker 4003 as my "go to" bass and like a sharper progressive rock type sound. With the tube pre set at 4 and the solid state at 6 plus a little EQ shaping and mixing on the tone controls I can get a Chris Squire-like tone whether using any of my cabinets. The amazing thing is that I have never had to turn the master volume past ONE!!!!!! At this setting it is more than enough for small to mid sized bars/clubs and even outdoor events when using the 8 x 10 cab. The DI with mix and pre/post EQ settings works well with any main mix setup. I'm thinking about having a setup that I can simply leave in the practice space and another to take to gigs and if I pull that trigger it will be another HA3500.

Product Review I have had this head for 19 yrs. The only issue up until last week was a scratchy pot. It has done every thing asked of it. I really really appreciate the build quality. I also purchased it from AMS. Last week it had a no power issue. i hit the web to find a fix and i found it, A bad capacitor on the Powre amp input right off of the Transformer . The fix is going to cost me $2.33 . That's good to know as i had a hard time deciding on what amp to get in the first place. I decided to write this review because i was looking at the new amps that are out now. They look good but, have they been a proven workhorse like the HA3500? Will they last you 5yrs trouble free let alone 19? I can't answer these questions but i can say that even when my HA3500 broke last week, all i could think about it fixing it. This is a very good product and it has proven itself time and time again. Thank You.

Product Review I've had this head for over 10 years. I have traveled with it, and use it to either drive my Hartke XL 15"cab, or Crate 4x10" (sometimes I stack); or Peavey 2x12 vintage cab. I have to pull plug from bass and make it 'pop' sometimes to come on, will get that fixed.

Bought the original years ago. Got a good 12 years of hard use out of it. Clubing on the week ends. Tough product althought I had a good road case. The tube pre amp was great. I miss it! I needs nothing! Compresser works great! Crank up each or both preamps and define your tone! Clean modern on the solid state side, nice and warm on the tube! Your general opinion of this product. I want to buy a new one I miis it! N?A The amp is great will give you years of service! OK n/a

Very well constructed and rugged. No problems to date. Like the option of tube/solid state, EQ, and XLR line out. Overall, this is a very workable and user friendly amp. You can tweak your tone easily with the tube/solid preamps and EQ. Overall, great! Adjustments are easy. Sounds great! You can adjust this to whatever your heart desires. Like the original black finish. I also like the fact that the EQ faders are lighted so adjustments on dark stage is easy. No problems to date. Plug in and play. Tone adjustments are easy. Love it!
