Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The box is superbly constructed. In the 4.5 that I owned 10 years ago, one of the 10" drivers blew on me just after the 2 year warranty period was up. I was driving the aluminum cones too hard, but didn't realize it at the time... Hartke aluminum cone 10" drivers... WOWSERS, these things are phenominal!! However, like many aluminum cone drivers, these will blow if pushed too hard. These sound better than paper, but are less resilient. Sound How is the tone? Great sounding! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Bright, punchy, resonant lows and low mids. Balanced tone.
