I was looking for an amp to use with my acoustic electric bass.I sometimes jam with acoustic guitars etc. and didn't want to break the bank as it's only for occasional use. This little amp would work for some electric jams as well. It's built very well too. Just buy it,you won't regret it.

Purchased this amp for my son just starting to play bass he loves it and it’s a great sounding amp not distorted at high level I would recommend this to everyone who wants to start playing and I love the fact that I can pay over time dreams do come true when companies like AMS help in a big way. Whoever said 25W isn't enough has never played a Hartke bass amp. I have had it only one day and I love it!!! Just being a little combo amp it puts out the sound as rich as the tone. Just the bass alone trimmed back on my guitar and turned up on my amp sounded amazing. After fiddling with the high & mid as well I believe I have it where I like it without a preamp hook up of any kind. There is nothing negative about this combo amp. Right size for me and my home. Right price for that musician on a budget like myself. Like the title says. Hartke has always been top notch quality. After owning a 16 band eq 400W Hartke head then playing and owning this HD25. I can't say anything bad at all. Thanks!!!

I have a Hartke LH500 with 410 and 115 cabs which I really like, but they weigh a ton, and as I wanted a small, easy to carry, bass amp for practice sessions, I figured I'd take a chance with the Hartke HD25. I've had it for around 3 weeks now, and have used it about 4 times. For a small amp (24 lbs., 8" spkr), it has a clear, gutsy, low end, and is perfect for a small room. It won't cut through in a club with a full band, but you wouldn't expect it to. For a bassist and a couple of guitarists getting together to make some noise, or if you want to play without annoying the neighbors, it's perfect!

I'm very happy with this purchase. I don't need an amp that will tear down my house, but this lets me get plenty loud and still has room to spare. Crystal clear sound.

This will define your bass. If you need an amp for home I don’t think you need anything else. It will have all your wall rumbling if you want or give you too quality sound if you just want to listen to what you are playing

It is a great sounding small Amp. I have used it in band practice. 25 watts is adequate if your drummer is controlled. If you have a drummer that hits really hard, or you are playing heavy material/metal, this amp won't do for band practice. Great for solo practice and beginners. The amp has great tone and the price is great.
