Product Review The Hartke VX3500 is awesome! All you'll ever need! Features active or passive inputs. Compression, tube or solid state, equalizer, effects out, everything! 350 watts of killer bass! The paper cones are great. Only drawback, its heavy, 104 lbs, but it is on casters, so not a deal breaker. Highly recommended.

What I was looking for, found, and love!

Heck Yeah! very dependable. All the features are perfect from the EQ to the easy set up. I love it all. The only thing I wish I could is the beastness of the case Its a heavy boy but will withstand hard parties and playing. Lets just say my upstairs neighbors quit stomping around so much. Scared that if they make to muck noise I might turn on the "BEAST". Well the gurth is the first thing you notice. Its a big SOB if you know what I'm sayin. But there all so many options to your sound, its limitless. Bright and smooth like my women? Look like it just rolled of the assembly line of Rock Heaven!! The Amp a speakers were ready to go straight out of the box. It was a perfect mooth sound i heard coming out of those beautiful virgin speakers, so sweet.

GREAT AMP!

This thing is a tank. It's built tough, heavy and ready to gig. The greatest feature is the tome shaping. Seperate tube and solid state controls, the 10 band eq(also switchable, high and low controls and compressor... you WILL find that sweet spot in you tone. The sound is completely uncompromised. I set out not wanting a combo amp but due to budget had to consider them. I found this after about a year of research. After using other hartke items I bought this without even playing it first. hartke make great affordable gear that performs professionally. I really could not be happier. I have found the tone perfect for my band and the tone perfect for me. It's well built and ready to gig. one cab to grab and go, easy. It definatly has a presence on stage. I play in a rock band and haven't had it up past 3 1/2 though i have turned it up other times and the sound stays true at any volume. Lots of head room. If your looking for a combo or a good bar gigging amp set up you should really look at this, its spectacular in any price range. This thing is very heavy, but comes with casters so it's not bad to move.Pretty good sized for a combo amp. The tone is your choice, brite or warm or middle of the road. Just be ready to get some punch, It gives that mule kick with any tone. The carpet covering looks really nice and flawless. Out of the box it's ready to go! Slight EQ mods and personal sound touches but huge power and lots of head room

Heavy built cabinet with strong casters. The tube channel is an added bonus. The fx loop control is also nice. You can mimic a lot of different amp sounds with this amp The tone is encredible. Anything from smooth jazz to heavy meatal can be played on this amp. The controles are very easy to read and get to while playing. There are so many tone variations you can get with this amp. The amp has the Hartke "bat Fuzz" finish.I have a Hartke 100 watt amp for the past four years with the same finish and it held up great N/A

SKEPTIC NO MORE!

This monster is constructed very well. It weighs over 70 pounds, but the casters make it very easy to move around. Plus, the casters are on the amp when it ships. The best feature by far is the independent tube and solid state controls, allowing you to tailor your sound from vintage all tube amps to more modern day solid state sounds. I no longer have to rely on my A.R.T. Nightbass to produce the tube and compression settings. Those are now done very easily on the front panel of the amp. If I don't think I would change a single thing on this amp if I could. I was optimistic about the paper cones in a Hartke amp, but quickly discarded any optimism after today. This amp is by far the most versatile amp when it comes to tonality. It offers a sound that can fit into any genre of music without effort. Even if you're looking for your own sound, you'll find it easily. This thing plays very loud and very clear. The controls are easy to get to if you do have to make an adjustment. The sounds are very tailorable to suit any kind of music you care to play. The bass amp has a very nice silver and black design that's easy on the eyes, plus it's cool looking. Basically, you just plug & play right out of the box. Plug in your bass, set the equalizer and you're done. It don't get any easier.

Best Amp I've Owned In Twenty Years Of Playing Pro

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
The quality of this product is self-evident the moment you plug your bass in. QUALITY is the operative word. From the look, to the sound and all things in between

FEATURES:
The great thing about the "features" of this amp, is the lack of useless features. Everything on this amp is useful, yet simple.

EASE OF USE:
Plug in and play. It's that easy. Adjust and play. It's that easy. Or DON'T adjust and play. It's that easy. And EITHER way you sound good.

VALUE:
Worth every darned penny. Period

SOUND:
The sound is exactly what I was looking for. From the warmth of the tube sound to the bite of the solid state circuitry. Or anything in between. You can literally hear the changes and nuances in tone, as you make adjustments. AS YOU MAKE THEM. Not just after the fact. This gives you instant and complete control of your sound. And as one who carries most of the singing in my group, playing bass and

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
This product was made extremely well, the fit and finish on it was superb. The only downside to this is the weight. Other than that, it's a must buy if your short on cash.

FEATURES:
I love the EQ, it may look intimidating but it's not. You can find your tone with this feature. I also love the solid state and tube preamps, you can mix both of these features. And the compression feature is also cool. I keep my at around 5, and it still doesn't effect the output or sound.

EASE OF USE:
Once you get it out of the box, it's pretty much straight forward. If you don't know how to use it, don't buy it. Extremely easy to use.

VALUE:
Great bang for the buck. I mean, what else do you expect from Hartke? All the features, plus the power..it's a great buy. Great amp!

SOUND:
The sound is great, it has a good bottom end. The highs are also very sharp. I sometimes use it with my effects pedal

A complete steal!!

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Build quality is rock solid. Unpacked it & plugged right away. I was impressed with the speakers. I've had a 3500 head before & loved it. I wouldn't have gotten rid of it but it was stolen - DAMMIT. Used it with various cabs including Ampeg 8x10, GK 410s, old JBL 115s and this is the coolest combination I've found. It doesn't push the air that an 8x10 does but it doesn't take an offensive lineman to move it either. It's very loud and I love it.

FEATURES:
As I mentioned, the speakers are superior - this is not some slapped-together combo - it was really designed well. The thing with the 3500 head is you have so much control with blending the preamps and all the EQ, plus the compressor, you can get a ton of sounds out ot if. I like a really fat bass sound with plenty of mids so I get some real drive and this does that very well. It does the scooped-mids thing great, too. Slap players will love the horn-it's really smooth.

QUALITY:
built rather well. Pretty sturdy construction. The original rig this replaced was an SWR piece and this product is one hell of an upgrade.

FEATURES:
THE SOUND! THE SOUND! THE SOUND!

EASE OF USE:
Turn it on and play! My bass player uses this with a Sansamp Bass DI Driver and flavors it to taste before the VX3500. Awesome awesome tone. Very very sensitive and accurate as all hell. If you're playing sucks you will hear every noise, nuance with this piece. DOPE DOPE!!

VALUE:
Hell yeah! When you consider that this costs less than most good basses, its amazing how good this thing performs. My bassist tried it out with a stock Fender P Bass (noisy stock pickups) and it sounded INCREDIBLE. He did go from a 100 watt to a 350 watt rig, but man this piece is great. The cooling is awesome on it, COLD AIR! Eq works great, compressor I dont really know what to make of this yet. Time will tell. Tone/Controur cont

Outstanding Amp

Your general opinion of this product. This amp is great sounding, powerful and heavy duty. I like that it comes with heavy-duty casters, so there is no need to purchase any more. It will be the only amp that I use from now on. It is heavy, weighing 106 lbs. I will give the actual dimension (from the manual): 29.75"H x 25.5" W x 15" D. I searched for the weight and dimensions, which I could not find anywhere. So There!
