General What is your overall opinion of this product? I am surprised at the quality of this guitar. I had a Rogue Violin Bass and it was a piece of neck heavy junk. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? This guitar has style and playability. The set up is great out of the box. I get a nice tone out of it on a little 10 watt practice amp. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? The only draw back to this guitar is the crappy strings that come on it. They will be changed very soon. Feel Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? It is sleek and sits well in my lap which is what I wanted. Tone How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin? The tone is nice even in this little 10 watt practice amp that I have. I get a whole range of tones on it. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is rich and beautiful. Not a flaw in it. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Great value for the price. Not a complaint here except the strings that came on it. Playability How was the action out of the box? Nice set up and no fret buzz.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seems well-built to me. I do have reservations about the longetivity of the tuners, but only time will tell. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? It's a true hollowbody, so it's very light, which makes it easy on the shoulders. The only feature I would add would be the Hofner "tea cup" volume knobs and white switches, but that's a farily inexpensive mod that I will most likely do myself later. General Your general opinion of this product. I think it's a great little short-scale bass. It's a violin bass, so it's unique and if you're a "Daytripper" fan on a "Day Job" budget, it's a great instrument. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I would say this bass has a smooth, "woody" tone. It's unique, and the discerning ear can immediately tell it's a hollowbody. However, this bass has no on-board tone controls, so you'll be relegated to adjusting the settings on your amp or using an in-line graphic equalizer for on-the-go tone modification. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I thought the finish was amazing! Mine arrived and looked better than all of the other pictures I've seen online.
