Close but no cigar!
Quality:
It seems the quality of these units are mostly aesthetic, they look real nice, but the difficulty in bending the higher keyed harps (C,D and E)lessen the quality experienced players expect and would make it hard for beginners to get to that point of knowing what a decent bend is and how easy it is on the better models
Features:
The thing that helps redeem having these instruments is the fact that you can take them apart and actually tweak them if one knows how to and to help with this for anyone would be to pick-up Lee Oskars Tool Kit that includes the tools needed and instructions on what to do for whats ailing a particular harp.
Ease of Use:
Without using too many bends these are OK, but if you are wanting to use a lot of deep bends these units make you work too hard than the original M Hohner-Blues Harp,Marine Band etc. I can rip Turkey In The Straw with no Prob (no bends). But getting into CCR's Keep on Chooglin' and Inside Looking out by Grand Funk it's harder.
Value:
With all the faults I found with these harmonicas, for the price, the purchase of this item is an overall excellent value for the ability to disassemble and make the necessary adjustments where the original harps by Hohner didn't have this capability to the extent that these have.
