I purchased these and interconnects between alto loud speakers and a Mackie compact mixer with 1/4" Main outs. This fit the bill perfectly, they're well built and durable and accomplish the exact task that they were intended for (as well as others) including where I would have needed a DI box to go to a snake from an amp modeler but didn't need to because I had the proper cable to go direct without the need for an additional point of failure.
And as usual thanks to AMS it came way sooner than I anticipated!

They might be budget but they are reliable and are quality made. Tight fitting, no loose parts, and tension relieved. Insuring lasting stability is as easy as throwing some marine grade heat shrink on it but regardless, they are easily repairable if that case ever comes up.
