Your general opinion of this product.
I've always wanted a Hughes and Kettner amp since I played the MKII triamp. This is an excellent budget friendly amp and gives you that great HK sound.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I have never had a problem with this amp. I took it out of the box, dialed it in to my sound and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This is kind of a guitar related question; amps don't have necks... lol. The TM 36 has some great features, the built in power soak and red box make for some great options. The individual EQs on the three channels are another great feature. The automatic tube bias helps you troubleshoot should you have any issues at all (which isn't likely).
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This is a very responsive amp, and will do exactly what you want it to do with little to no headache. I use mine on a regular basis, and it's a monster. It can hold it's own against just about any 100 watt head out there.
How has it stood up over time?
I've owned this head for about a year, and never had any issues with it. I'm sure it'll give me years of enjoyment.
