Product Rating Product Review The Ibanez AEB10E is a great acoustic electric guitar for any level of experience. It has a beautiful finish and a convenient built in tuner. It has a nice fretboard and accurate machine heads. The only drawback is finding a gig bag for this full sized acoustic bass guitar, although I’m sure Ibanez has one that will fit. AMS is always the go to online store to find your best gear!

Product Review This Ibanez bass has quickly become my go to for small gigs. It has great versatility and the action is as good as I’ve played on an acoustic bass. The finish is absolutely gorgeous and the bass came out of the box practically in tune (mind you I tune a 1/2 step down) Not sure you can find a better acoustic bass at this price point. AMS always delivers fast and with the monthly payment plans you can always get the gear you need.

Product Review I've wanted an acoustic bass guitar for a couple years now. It feels really nice to play. The sound is warm and I'm digging it. I'm glad I invested in this. It's become my main bass quickly.

Product Review Really like the 32" scale. Nice having the 3 pin jack (no need for DI) I put some Labella nylon tape strings on mine for more of the upright sound, overall nice bass for the price

Product Review I bought this bass for something to mess around on that I don't have to plug in. It has a great tone and very dynamic, not very loud but I'm happy with it. looks gorgeous, setup was good out of the box. Really fun bass to play. I gave it four instead of five because of the quietness of it I feel that an acoustic instrument should be at a comparable to the instruments that it is going to be played with i.e. it should be at the same level as an acoustic guitar and this just isn't even really getting after it it's still pretty quiet. and yeah I can plug it in but that defeats the whole point of why I got it.

Product Review This Acoustic bass is an excellent value for the money. The construction and finish is very good. It's plays easily and has a robust unamplified sound. I was looking for an inexpensive acoustic to practice and play without having to plug in. This instrument more than fits the bill!

Product Review Bought this bass for my wife for her birthday. She has had it about a month now. Great instrument for the price. This instrument is very easy to play and has a built in tuner. Very light for an acoustic bass and when plugged up to an amp it sounds amazing. Would highly recommend this!

Product Review Perfect is the 1st word that comes to mind. Beautiful craftsmanship and has a big sound w/ the bass alone. Plug it into an amp via 1/4" output or PA via the XLR output and hang on!! Super hot pick up and the built in tuner is a nice touch! Couldn't be happier w/ this bass! Highly recommend!!

Product Review I play this straight through the PA for an acoustic duo and it has a great variety of tones in the eq, pick up is alot hotter than i thought it would be, plays incredibly easy for an acoustic. I would highly recomend this guitar for any style music that you play.

Product Review I love the electronics on it. I have and Ibanez 12-string with the same type of system on it. It plays and sounds great even without the amp. The pickup is extremely low noise and I can plug it directly into my studio. I have been playing over 44 years and I think this is a great bargain at this price

Best acoustic bass I've played

This thing is amazing. It even stands up to breedlove acoustics without batting an eyelash The fishman pickup in this thing as awesome, the eq makes your tone even better, and the onboard tuner really makes this a great buy. Fast neck, and low action baby. Great tone both acoustically and plugged in. The pickup gives you that nice upright sound. I went with the black and love it. I've played one for a while now, and regardless of whether it's hung in a music store or fresh out the box the action is great. Fast neck and low action left me excited even before I started paying attention to the tone.

Seems well made. Only problem was the 2 of the 4 mounting screws for the output jack were stripped from the factory. I am returning this one. If it happened a year down the road I would have fixed it but hey!, its brand new so why bother. AMS made the process painless. They will ship replacement as soon as UPS says they picked this one up. No questions asked. Playability is great Turner is a plus. Haven't plugged it in yet but expect it to be good as other reviews. Well new string, its hard to say but I think its louder than the others I have tried in the pass. It may keep up with acoustic guitars if I use a pick. Like the neck. I play a Fender Jazz and this feels right at home in my hand. Great Over all I give it a 4. It is a $350 bass so I didn't expect perfect but I was surprised. I think the finish was better than expected with no glaring flaws. The action was really good. After reading some reviews I was worried but the action was spot on. No buzz or dead spots to speak of.

Very Good Bass

The bass looks and feels very well made, solid. Love the on board tuner and the Fishman/Ibanez colaboration on the electronics. The neck is very friendly as well. The tone is very good plugged in, full harmonics...in all, a lot of sound to work with. This axe plays well, it has a very solid feel and there is no drag in getting around on it. The neck is very easy on the hands. The electronics on this instrument are very good. The dry sound is fairly light as one would expect with the string to box ratio, but it can be heard in an acoustic mix. The pickups have a great range of color and the sustain is excellent. The finish could be better, a lot of little things...not even. It plays really well with no "noise" issues.

Excellent acoustic Bass

It's definitely well made and solid. I love the tone, but truthfully if you are planning on using this as a bass to play with other acoustic guitars, you will be drowned out in a heartbeat. Amplified it's great and just home practicing it's excellent. Like most acoustic basses though, there is no thumb rest...wish there was. I love the sound of an acoustic bass. If amplified you can pretty much do what you want if you have any effects. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Best acoustic bass I've played. Thin Ibanez neck. Out of the box it was bright the way I like it. Just with that stupid buzz on the E and certain fretted notes on other strings. I like bright crisp basses. Excellent, I got the piano finish, I love looking at it. Not very good. But after a trip to my Luthier is was excellent. String buzz plagued this bass at first. I did see these in stores before and they did not have a buzz to be fair. Just a fluke I suppose. But no issues now. The Ivorex nut and Saddle give it a brighter tone.

It's better than the Fender, Epiphone and Washburns in it's price range. The electronics. Really good with new strings. Like an acoustic electric bass should feel. I have 2 in black. I like my newer one. Very poor.

This is my second Ibanez acoustic-electric. They're great guitars for the money. Your general opinion of this product. Good looks, great playability, nice tone. Hard to ask for more. I played Breedlove, Fender and Dean - this was better than all of them. Compared to my other basses (Fender Jazz, MusicMan 5), this guitar is crazy light. The neck is great (I'm surprised at how much I like the 32" scale neck). Controls are easy, but the jack would've been better placed on the end (strap-lock) rather than the bottom. Toen is round and mellow, what you'd expect from an acoustic. Plugged in is good, unplugged is better. Nice! Low gloss looks good, doesn't show fingerprints too bad. Nails. Right on the money. High enough for no buzzes or rattles, low enough for fast playing.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Very good for the money. Well built, solid feel. Fishman electronics are excellent.

FEATURES:
Simple - few features except electronics. It does have a standard unbalanced output and a balanced output for direct connection to amp or board. I have not seen that on others similarly priced. As with the majority of acoustics, this one did not include a neck strap button. This was easily fixed for about $2.00.

EASE OF USE:
If you can play, you can play this one. It feels great. The setup on mine was perfect out of the box.

VALUE:
Great! I tried similar priced acoustics (Fender, Alvarez, and Takamine) at my local store before deciding on the Ibanez. Overall, the quality, feel, features, and sound made this one the clear winner.

SOUND:
Great - plugged or unplugged. I've played it in a church musical program without amplification. It projected well with an acoustic guitar and piano. The F

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
I can't recommend this bass. I hate to say it, but this one's a DUD. It's pretty, sure, but it ends there (see "SOUND").

VALUE:
Based on the dissapointing sound, not a good overall value.

SOUND:
Uneven, in a word. The pickup seems to be very uneven, from string to string. I've tried "re-seating" the saddle.....tried different saddles....several things, but it's always the same. The low "E" string is fine. The "G" is pathetic. Perhaps I got a bad pickup/preamp assembly, who knows? But either way, it's little more than a wall hanger for me. I've utterly given up on trying to use it live.
