I've owned an Artwood forever

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
See above. It is made like a concrete bus, at least mine from 1996-7.
Your general opinion of this product.
My 1997 Artwood is one of about 15 guitars I own. I would not get rid of it if you paid me. Well, ok, if you paid a lot. At least $500. I changed the action to electric-like low action and it maintains it's cool.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone is smooth jazz when I either pull back on the treble, or on acoustic playing, use the appropriate pick angles and palm mutes and harmonics. I love that about this guitar. Effortless harmonics.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Excellent laquer over natural wood grain. No paint. I love, love, love what was done at the Ibanez Korean complex when this guitar was constructed.
