Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I do not expect to see a price like this on a well built ax from top to bottom like this one. I'm sure this will be a limited run.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Only had it 4 months, so far so good.

Your general opinion of this product.
Great price for a well built guitar. Only complaint is the frets were not dressed the way they should be.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The frets were not dressed and had to be sanded down along both sides of the neck, once I did this it felt great and played great.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
You can make this baby sound the way you want....with the preamp and shifter, and my Marshall ASD 50
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Beautifull violin finish with great binding. For the money this exceeds what you would normally find.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
This is what I was worried about but was better than I expected.

the neck will spoil you. 1st acoustic I've ever owned with a satin finish neck, which I've never seen on a guitar under $800
Tone

lots of sustain. sounds great to me acoustic, but amped I had to use the EQ to back off the mids (which is common, and the EQ is nice). a note on the tuner-some of those on-board tuners are horrid so you have to be careful. this on is RIGHT ON. very accurate.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
the violin finish is unique & really amazing looking
Action
How was the action out of the box?
a little high but easily fixed

Much more axe than I expected.Very neat gluing on the bracing ,no sloppiness at all as shown with my inspection mirror. Some really nice little extras as an extra string pin ,extra ivorex 2 saddle ,and of course the great Ibanez warranty.

Personally, a nice feeling neck .Again just right, and I am primarily an electric player ,and it comfortable for me .
The controls are easily accessed as they right on the top in easy reach.

Unplugged I would call the tone smooth ,although this is subjective .
The palette of sounds when plugged in is a very wide spectrum .You can get exactly what you want with little effort.

Much Much More Than I Bargained For !!

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Definately well made.. and so far..QUITE dependable. I have jumped environments during a period of extreme weather changes and it has been ready to go whether on stage... in the studio... or at rehearsal studio. I have had it in a vehicle for a full day without any changes in intonation or tuning.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
"That" remains to be seen as in all honesty, I have had it for only a couple months. It appears to be solid and the bracing well made. It has had to deal with some extreme weather changes and thus.. humidity levels have been extreme as well.. yet, it holds it's tuning and no changes as of yet in the neck due to bowing or warping. Like I said... "solid" Yet... not a heavy instrument to hold !
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
General opinion ? Either this model will vanish soon or the price will increase...it's a "keeper"..price point is downplayed because once again, here is a true "quality" acoustic guitar with electronics that make it an all around "workhorse". Ibanez has done it again !
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It is lighter to hold than it looks... the neck is fast and easy on the fingers and the controls are quite easy to manipulate on the fly. I liked it because it had the Fishman... the phase reversal (which works GREAT) and.. the on board tuner. Also.. having both quarter inch and XLR output jacks is a sweet deal as well !
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Bright and snappy, yes... smooth as well but not too deep like a full sized Ovation. Installing a set of Elixirs would mellow it more and perhaps produce more low end... plugged in ? No problem.. a simple "Tweak" of the EQ and you have whatever you want ! Overall, a dynamic guitar tonally speaking and almost unbelievable at this price point which is why I think it will be "discontinued" or perhaps transitioned in some way to justify an increase in the purchase price. It's not in the catalog, so it may be in stock for awhile... then again.. I have missed out on deals with other "limited" run guitars that turned out to be "keepers" too.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish is fine but it is a bit darker that the picture illustrated. Almost appears to be black but again... I am not complaining... just darker than expected. I guess you could say it has an aged look which again... ok with me ! The neck finish was great too . Overall, I found no imperfections at all.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action out of the box was much better than I expected although Ibanez is known for great "electric" actions... this acoustic was as close to an electric as I've seen other than my Ovation "Legend" which is about 20 years old now and is still better..BUT, it was a $1500.00 guitar...For $350.00 I will NOT complain !!!
