Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Certainly seems well made. Just got it so dependability is not known Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it Overall Your general opinion of this product. I'm shocked at the quality and playablity. I own several high end guitars >$1700 and this thing is a bargain at $299. String action is nice and low and was well set right out of the box. Stays in tune well and I actually prefer the tones from this guitar to the RG3550MZ. The 3550 has the ultra slim wizard neck with titanium rod, but this $299 guitar is plenty fast. I'm very fast and I like this "cheap" guitar. Shocked at how well it plays. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Feels fine. Plenty fast, inspite of neck being thick vs WIZARD NECKS. For the price this guitar is the best value I've ever gotten. I'm 63 and have a ton of guitars. I play DRAGONFORCE and do alot of tapping with fast rollups. This $299 guitar shocked the hell out of me. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I like the tone fine. Fact: it's not as tinny sounding on high settings. Sustain is not bad. I think the pickups were mellow when amp was in the no effects mode. Harmonics weren't great but otherwise this thing is a steal. Looks as good as the RG3550MZ or even $2000+ guits I have. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Perfect. Action How was the action out of the box? Very good. Hell it was almost in tune. String level is fine, plenty low enuf for me and I play fast leads with alot of multi finger tapping and playing over the neck.
