Product Rating Product Review I'm Moving from a 6 string platform to a 7 string and came across the Ibanez GRG 7221 model. I didn't want to spend a whole lot up front as this was going to be my test guitar to see if this was for me or not. Only two days into it and I have to say, I'm sold!. I love the feel of this guitar and the transition is very smooth. Although this guitar is very low cost, it doesn't sound and feel cheap. If you're making the switch but aren't sure it's for you...this guitar is the perfect way to find out and not have to spend a great amount on the journey. I'm happy with this purchase.

Product Review It's been a long time since I've bought a new guitar and this is definitely a step up from squier strats, ephiphones, and Frankensteins that I build that I got used to playing.this shipped fast!! Right out of the box I didn't have to do much besides put new strings on.(personal preference) it was in tune right away. Really fast neck, clear sounding pick ups that I can even get to scream if I want to. great action. Beautiful finish! I've been obsessed with this guitar, happy to back on a 7 again for my style of playing , this plays better than a legator I once had. Really doesn't in my opinion need to be set up, but it's so nice I mite bring it to my buddy to do so , if it does need to be set up It doesn't need much. This is definitely a quality instrument you totally get what you pay for with this!!!

Product Review Great setup right out of the box, action/intonation, no adjustments required. Smooth neck and nice fretboard, 24th fret easily accessible. The increased width is not an issue. Stock strings are a bit light for my taste, but no buzzing. Decent tonal variety from the pickup switching system and pots, no crackles or pops. Had in for a few months now, a fun intro to extended range.

Product Review I started playing guitar when quarantine started. Had plenty of time to learn and to practice so it didn’t take me long to get kinda decent. Found this when I decided I wanted to buy a 7 string and have barely put it down since.

Product Review Slap some new pick ups on this bad boy and a bridge and you have a $600 guitar. It does everything you need it to do. I’m a drummer but bought this for song writing, couldn’t be happier with this purchase

Product Review I purchased this guitar as my first 7 string. Ive only been interested in 6 strings now I can't put this guitar down its very very responsive. Very great for the price. Just check the specks out for a $200 guitar this literally speaks volumes to affordable guitars. I set myself up on payment plans so I can get it on the spot I highly recommend this guitar.

Product Review I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to with this purchase. First, I received the guitar the NEXT DAY after ordering! In these Covid-cursed times, that's damn impressive. It arrived in perfect condition. Second, as for the guitar - I've been playing a long time and wanted to try out a 7 string, and for the price I thought, why not? Mine was set up perfectly, and with great new strings. If AMS did this, they did a great job. Had 2 new packs of strings at the ready, didn't need them. This guitar is a beast. Really high output pickups, which is what I think most of us would want with this type guitar. Neck feels good and is straight as an arrow, and all hardware is solid. You can back off the volume on this thing and still get all the pinch harmonics you want. For $200, this is a no brainer for anyone interested in diving into the 7 string world for the first time. I had misgivings about buying a "GIO", but I'm very impressed.

Product Review The tone is great. Like all ibanez guitars! I have 4 ibanez guitars now among other brands but ibanez is my favorite. False harmonics everywhere up an down. First 7 string. Deep full heavy sound. I think I may go a little larger with new strings when the time comes. Great overall

Product Review Right out of box, fret buzzing terribly. The low B string was damaged. Went out and bought a set of Daddario NYXL strings, still problems. Im in the process of learning about truss rod adjustments, intonation, string height, etc just so i can get the guitar to sound normal. Its basically unplayable, which is a huge let down, as i was super excited about getting a 7 string. I most likely am going to have to fork over another $50 to guitar shop to set it up for me. Not happy...

Product Review I've got to admit, I was surprised how good of a guitar I got with a price so low! Was set up pretty well out of the box. With minimal adjustment (to my playing preference)and a new set of strings, this baby screams! Perfect for someone like me who has years of time on a six string and is interested in stepping up to a seven string. Volume and tone pots feel high quality and tuners hold tune very well. Well worth the money!

Product Review right out of the box the strings were extremely high off the frets, i measured them and got about 1/2"... way too high. the saddles all the way down seem to not let you get good action. the pickups werent bad, not terrible, but not the best. the neck felt great, the guitar itself seemed ok. and the finish on it was like glass. very good finish on it. you will need to do some work on this guitar right out of the box.
