You can't even buy a used fake no-name brand for $100 anymore let alone a quality bass like this. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? great tone, slap and pop sounds killer on this bass. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I actually wanted the natural wood bass but it wasn't on sale. So I sprung for the black stained wood bass... have to say I wasn't excited about it. But when I pulled it out of the box I was wowed, it looks really good and I'm definitely happy about my purchase after seeing it in person.

Smooth, Old style passive, humbucked tone that was fuller than my old P-bass. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Clean, simple, handsome, classic mahogany finish.
