For a decent entry to mid-level bass, you can go wrong with Ibanez. Imo, they are always a safe purchase. Pickups run a bit hot on these guys, but again, it's within expectations. Still, the setup out of the box needed very little adjusting. Would recommend.

Just received this bass after great (as always) shipping and service, and I have to say the finish quality impressed me. I was worried about being able to reach around the wider neck, but it's so well shaped I have no trouble. Frets are well finished, no sharpness noticed. I think I will need to make a truss rod adjustment to get rid of some minor fret buzz, but I'm going to let it wait a day or two to see if it acclimates before I worry about it.
This is my first Ibanez, and I am impressed at the level of detail provided in the instruction book. I may be changing out the strings but want to give the stock strings a try while I get used to this bass. Overall, it met my expectations, lives up to the photos, and makes me want to practice so I think it's money well spent.

This is my first ibanez and one of the best basses ive owned. You have to pay thousands of dollars to get a good bass. This has great tone and playability. Awesome looking too! A must have for any bass player looking for a 5 string.

Excellent bass for any price let alone this price. I needed a bass to play in low DGCEA tuning. This bass fit the bill. Great tone with flatwounds 120-40.The neck is nice and easy on the hands. The body is solid ergonomically. The pick ups sound fat. Thanks AMS!

Ibanez lived up the their name once again. Comfortable, lightweight , amazing powerful sound. Amazing how every bass is unique in appearance. The wood grain is very visible and it gives it that jazzy look with the rock touch as it fades to black. See what I did there? But really, very good produc, I would totally recommend this bass.

This is an exceptionally well made bass. My first time owning a bass and a 5 stringer at that. The tones are amazing, the neck is very comfortable for me si cr I have small hands, however I have no problems running up and down the neck. Overall, mind you I am a beginner so the choice I made was a great one, great quality, great tones and sound, and at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend this piece of equipment for a beginner, intermediate and even at a professional level, Ibanez rocks??

If this bass caught your eye cause it looks nice,it does.Out of the box its as colorfull and glossy as the pictures.Sound...I know how nice Ibanezs active electronics are,but I didn't think the pickups would be this nice..aspiring finger players will love the Anchor they provide and pick players will love they don't make noise if the pick hits them.The neck is perfect to handle 5 strings.For $299,nice.
