I received my 6 string Bass early and in perfect condition as like everything else I have gotten from AMS. And when I removed it from the packaging I was amazed at the care they took. It played right out of box in tuned and ready for the stage.

AMS and Ibanez never depreciate in professionalism and products, respectively. The GSR 206 Walnut Flat bass arrived on the scheduled day and right out of the box sounded like money! The bass tone is professional level with both pickups having a volume knob. There are also a bass knob and tone knob. The craftsmanship is awesome and I keep looking at the bass when I’m not playing it! It will be at my next rehearsal and gig!

This bass was on backorder for a minute, but I was no less excited and the wait was well worth it. Ibanez is my brand of choice for most guitar situations, and this bass is a perfect addition to my collection. Having the low B is really nice, you can't really beat the quality at this price point, would recommend to anyone, especially with AMS's EZ payment plan. This is my first real bass guitar (usually play guitar), and the ease of fretting, even on a 6 string bass, makes it easy to transition to another instrument.
This is a killer buy

This bass is decent, price-wise, and tone-wise. However, keep in mind that you will absolutely need a professional setup on this, it will not be ready to record with straight out of the box. You can directly compare it to a high-end Ibanez bass (like the BTB series) and definitely see and hear the difference but if you are looking for a good bass at a good price and don't mind the extra work setting it up, then this is for you.

I just recieved my Ibanez gsr 206, and I was surprized of the great tune. No fret buzz. The way it feels in my hands the frets did not cut my finger. If you’re on the fence about buying this Bass dont be afraid! Go ahead and make the Purchase.

I HAD to take a minute to tell you this. Whoever at SW did the 52 or however many point checks on this REALLY outdid their self. The intonation is a standard hair thickness away from PERFECT.
I get the correct note at the perfect tone at 440Hz tuning on all but no more than 3 frets across the entire fretboard TOTAL.
I have a 12 string I have quite a few basses that are REALLY good, but the intonation on this one is NOT to be believed. My Telecaster's intonation isn't this good.
As for the sound? VERY boomy. I jacked into a 2000 Watt Behringer bass amp head pushing just a 4x10 & 2x10 500 - 750 W RMS Peavey speaker cabs and the whole house moves a little every time I play a note if I don't turn the volume almost to < 1 with the Gain set 1/4 of the way.
Very cool. AND I'm especially glad now that I replaced the cheap strings that came standard with LaBella Gold Flatwounds. WOW. Problem? a few protruding frets have to be sanded down. Otherwise? YEOW. I'm VERY happy.

i have 2 5 string basses 1 schecter and 1 ibanez, love them both. but this bass is a joy to play. all the tones and power it can deliver is amazing with my 400 watt mark bass amp. the simple 4 tuners with boost knob is the best for playing moder jazz and acid jazz . playing heavy metal is out of this world, the punch it delivers has my neighbors cringe.... lol!!!!!

I was looking for a 5-string bass, but came across this Ibanez 6- string bass that was at a price I could afford. It's lighter than most other basses I've owned. It sounds great and easy to maneuver up & down the neck. So if your looking for a bass at a low price, but High quality, the Ibanez GSR206 Gio 6-string bass is for you.

I think that it was well made. Its pretty dependable. My sone has dropped it a few times still kicking. Wouldn't suggest that anyone go and throw it a building or anything. lol
I would definitely say the width of the neck not to wide. wish it had more knobs
Tone is really all that great. I for one like to fix my bass, so I added some emg pickups and a emg preamp. It sounds great now. I suggest that if you get this bass, you might want to put some pickups in. Just a suggestion.
It was not to heavy at all. Neck once again was a good quality of the bass.
again its just not a sound that i was looking for until I got the pickups.
It was nice though I wish that there was a red one.
It was ok. It sat on the neck which is the way I like it.

did expect much for a 300 dollar six string bass but wow, you get more what you paid for
the ease of play!!
surprisingly great tone
not too bad, fast neck and controls are easy
pick-ups had a funky sound to them,great range
great! no drips or damages, came out of the box looking great
