Tone:
HERE IS THE POWER OF THIS GUITAR. YOU CAN USE IT AS ACOUSTIC - GREAT TONE. IN CASE YOU CAN PLUG IT - CAN GIVE YOU ALL YOU NEED WITHOU ANY EXTRA EFFECTS. YOU'LL BE THE HEART OF THE PARTY FOR SURE. PLAYING SONGS FROM ACCOUSTIC TO METAL IS JUST ONE CLICK AWAY.
Finish:
VERY GOOD BUT NOT THE BEST I'VE SEEN FROM IBANEZ. THE ELEPTIC HOLES PLASTIC EDGES DOES NOT LOOKS SO WELL AS ON THE PICTURE.
Action:
4* - FOR ME WAS HIGH. NEEDS ADJUSTMENT BUT IT HAS UNIQUE SYSTEM f.a.s.t. WHICH MAKES IT EASIER.

Very Cool and Revolutionary Guitar
Quality:
From my inspection this guitar is very well made.
Reliability:
I've only owned it for a short time now and so far so good. My only concern is the new unique neck adjustments (F.A.S.T.) There are 4 independent adjustments that can be made to the neck, which includes the trussrod. This is very cool and could be revolutionary to the industry, and was easy to make the adjustments.
Overall:
I own several guitars and the Ibanez MSC550TRD is the most unique. From its sound to its design this guitar is so cool. It sounds awesome in either acoustic or electric mode.
Playability and Feel:
The feel is good. The body felt right either on the leg or strapped. Was not chunky or heavy.
Tone:
This guitar can hit any tone you're going for and sounds great in either bright/snappy/dark or smooth. With it's on-board electronics this guitar can make it. The chorus and reverb is really great no, and the overdrive is super too. No peddles to buy. Great for live performance.
Finish:
I do think that Ibanez could have done a better job on the finish. This is my only complaint about the guitar. They just missed on the one I have. At the same time I'm not sending it back either. The tone and other uniqueness's makes it a keeper.
Action:
Action out of the box was not bad but I prefer and a lower action and after a few adjustments it was fine. Didn't have to touch the trussrod or saddle. All adjustments I made was using the Ibanez Fast Action Set-Up Technology (F.A.S.T) Really cool.

ibanez did their homework on this bad boy.

the neck is slim like an electric is. easy to access controls
Finish:
the finish on it is fantastic! you definitely get what you pay for
Action:
the action is a little high out of the box. atleast mine was. but with the F.A.S.T. it's fairly easy to fix. just loosen strings and the two neck bolts and turn the truss rod till you need to.

Great all around guitar

Not quite perfect but exceeds my expectations for this price range its not a Gibson, but for Ibanez it is nice

Overall:
This is a fantastic "Swiss Army Knife" of guitars, it really does it all. It is great for gigging or for worship leading every control is at your finger tips and has great tone no matter what I play through, with a little on board EQ it is easy to dial in. I'm shocked I haven't heard more about this instrument it really is an excellent buy, especially if you don't like hauling multiple guitars, pedals, power supplies and cables.
Playability and Feel:
It has a thin neck that is easy to play and adjust to your specifications thanks to the F.A.S.T. neck design
Tone:
It has great tone and suprizing low end, I expected it to be tinny but it has more low end than you would think and the variation of tones is almost limitless. The electric pickup has no hum, virtually silent. Great all around instrument
Finish:
The finish is beautiful and the perfect color of Red. Everyone comments on how nice it looks and I bought a scratch and dent, though I could find nothing other than a few pick marks, which happen anyway.
Action:
The action was not good out of the box and I had to adjust the F.A.S.T. neck, It didn't come with instructions on how to adjust it, but I found some on a discussion board, loosen the two big bolts and tighten the little one then retighten the big bolts, it takes about 3-5 times to get it just right and was fast and easy to do.
