How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
IT FEELS LIKE IT WAS MADE JUST FOR ME! ITS A MEDIUM WEIGHT SO ITS NOT TOO HEAVY & NOT TOO LIGHT! THE NECK IS EXTREMELY FAST & THIN, ESPECIALLY WITH THAT HIGH GLOSS BLACK FINISH! THE CONTROLS ARE VERY SIMPLE, 1 VOL KNOB & PU SELECT!

Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
BRIGHT N SNAPPY, DARK N SMOOTH, THIS GUITAR WILL PLAY IT ALL! THE ACTIVE DUNCANS ARE INCREDIBLE N HAVE SUSTAIN FOR DAYS! A NICE SURPRISE WHEN I OPENED THE BOX! NO NEED TO REPLACE THESE HOT PU!! PLUS THIS GUITAR COMES WITH D'ADDARIO XL NICKEL WOUND STRINGS, NOT THOSE CRAPPY CHEAP FACTORY STRINGS THAT YOU HAVE TO REPLACE RIGHT OUT THE BOX! THE STRINGS ARE AWESOME N VERY WELL MADE!

How did the stain or paint job look?
GORGEOUS! THE WHITE BINDING IS AWESOME AS WELL AS THE BLACK FINISH! WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU IN THE DESCRIPTION IS THAT THE BACK OF THE NECK HAS THE SAME BLACK FINISH WHICH IS RARE FOR BOLT ON NECKS!

How was the action out of the box?
THIS WAS THE ONLY THING THAT WAS WRONG (if you can call it that) BUT DID NOT BOTHER ME AS I LOVE WORKING ON GUITARS! DON'T EXPECT IT TO BE IN ANY KIND OF TUNE!
