Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Pretty good. The material that was used to make my guitar is pretty sturdy and the guitar has a good weight to it.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I barely had to work on setting it up and it has stayed there ever since.

Nice Axe! This is the best guitar I have ever owned. I don't have any problems with buzzing or humming and the action is very nice. I got this guitar on sale for $279.99 and I am not surprised that the price went up to reasonably affordable. Beginners or experts will like this one.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Same as the action out of the box! :)
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Bright and snappy. Punchy and clear too. Pretty versatile.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Nice. All though, when light hits it a certain way the mahogany oil look can actually make the body look like it has some grease on it, but, somebody would have to be straining their eyes and know exactly how to hold the guitar under a light. But, it is called Mahogony oil for a reason. Nothing worth fussing about.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Nice. It is very familiar to a wide-neck Fender and the frets are as little more harsh on the fingers because of the jumbo frets (bumpy). But, the neck is even and very little pressure is required in order to strike a cord pr pluck a note, literally. Very easy guitar to play. Very Comfortable as well.

For $300, this guitar is very high quality! I did notice that one of the screw holes in the control cavity is very close to the edge and has split the wood. Seemed like control cavity cover wasn't very well suited for the cavity.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have only had this guitar for 5 days and used it on 1 gig, so I can't speak to its reliability much. It seemed to hold it's tune during all the Drop-D songs.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I bought this guitar to be a dedicated Drop-D (Drop-C# in my case) guitar. I need more time with it but it's pretty good. I got it to match the Ibanez RG7321 7-string I bought at the beginning of 2010.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The guitar feels a bit heavy but that might be because I also got an RG1550MPBL at the same time and it's basswood body is super light compared to the RG321MH's mahogany body. Regardless, it is very balanced and comfortable. The neck, although a Wizard II profile, feels a bit round to me. That might be because I was so used to the 7-String and it seems thinner since it is wider.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone is very natural with the Infinity pickups. They seem to be medium-power. I plan to replace them with DiMarzio pickups to give it more power, replace the pots, and I'll replace the 5-way with a 3-way switch.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish looked great! I got the black version of this guitar and the finish is very good. The neck satin finish is very smooth.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action out of the box was kind of high, but that's to be expected. I set it up with Ernie Ball Slinky Top-Heavy Bottom strings since it will be a Drop-D guitar and we tune to Eb. I love the Gibraltar bridge and find it very easy to adjust. Of course, as time goes by, the action will get better and match my RG7321!

This baby stays in tune very well and seems to be very well made. I'm sure I could use this at a gig as the only guitar without using any backups at all. I can't put it down. It's slowly starting to become my favorite.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had it for 2 days but it seems like it should last me a long time.

I bought this over the weekend at a competitor. I was looking for something different and this definately fit the bill.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This neck has to be the best that I've ever played on. I can't believe how fast it is. It only took me a couple of minutes to get used to it.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Like I mentioned earlier, I play a lot of Classic Rock & 80's Metal and IMO, this is the perfect guitar for what I play. I'm only kicking myself for not buying one of these much earlier. I've played and do own Fender Strats and Epiphone's and to be honest, this is a pleasant surprise.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Mine is Black, which was the only color they had, so I might and up stripping it down to a Natural finish down the line.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
I had to do a intonation check and a slight setup because I use 10's on all of my guitars now. Once I took care of that, the action on the Wizard neck was awesome, nice and fast!

The guitar feels amazing and plays fast just like an ibanez should. Its very surprisingly light, much lighter than my others, could be since it lacks the heavy floyd trem system. The neck is perfect and the fretwork is also great. Thin neck and low action just as ibanez is famous for.

I have the mahogany oil finish and its so beautiful. The woods are so well matched that i cant see the seem on the back at all, its only visible from the bottom of the guitar, and the veneer is nicely done. Absolutely beautiful guitar.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Like i said i bought it used, but when i got it the action was very nice, i do always, however, set up my guitars to my own personal preference.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I have played for many years, and i do own and have owned many very expensive guitars that were the paradigm of quality, and judging by that I would say this guitar is very solid and very well made. I would gig this baby without a second thought. The only thing i found is with the tuners, they are very smooth and tight but unlike the the gotoh tuners that come on the high end models, they do tend to slip just a bit and loose tune, not very much but just a tiny bit.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have had no problems at all. And if its anything like my other ibanez's i dont expect any at all.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a great guitar. I suppose this meant to be a budget guitar for a beginner or mid level player but its so much better than that. I am an advanced player and bought this guitar as just a practice guitar to tinker with so i dont have to wear out my very expensive pro guitars, plus i wanted the fixed bridge so that i could easily change tunings while practing song ideas. This is the first non MIJ model ibanez I have ever owned and expected it to be ok at best. I was very mistaken, this guitar was absolutely wonderful. Bottom line if you are a beginner this is a great first guitar, no other guitar in this price range can touch this one. I bought this guitar used on ebay for 80$ (believe it or not) and it was practically brand new, the frets were still polished and the back of the neck was still satin, it was as though this thing was never played.
