I've only had it a day so i cant really say, but it feels like a good quality instrument that can hold its own throughout time.

This is a great guitar hands down, the only reason i gave it a 4 was because of the pickups and the new mid-scoop switch.(It basically cuts out the mids, which when playing live doesnt help if your in a large venue because the mid frequencies really cut through alot) Personally, I play alot of metal and these pickups just dont do it for me. It may be different for other players of other genres that dont need a high gain pickup, but its all really in personal preference.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Plays very nice. Very fast thanks to the wizard II neck.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Like I said before,Im not very keen on the tone because of the stock pickups. Im definitely going to switch them out for some EMG's. If you do the conversion, your going to have to switch out the battery as well. This guitar takes 2 AA batteries as opposed to one 9v battery which i was baffled by. The tone is alright for rhythm and does the trick, but for nice leads and good tones to cut through the mix, i would definitely reccomend some EMGs

How was the action out of the box?
The action is great. Very low, which im a big fan of, and the neck is very fast. Only complaint is there is some fret buzz on regular chords and on the lowest string. I play in Ab, so hopefully some thicker strings with a little more tension will clear up the buzz issue

Like I said, this guitar is a solid peice of equipment, its mahogany body has a really well made guitar feel to it, very dependable, and should last a lifetime.

This guitar is very solid, you can feel that you have a well made guitar in your hands when you pick this up for the first time.

This guitar is phenomenal, I couldnt ask for a better guitar.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
When you pick this guitar up, you can feel that you have a well made guitar in your hands, like I said. When holding and playing this guitar, you can feel that it has lots of power, it has a fast feel neck thanks to the Wizard II neck. The controls are a little different than what im used to on my 7 strings, it has the onboard EQ which can be played on and off believe it or not, so the controls simply put, are easy to use.

The tone in this guitar is perfect, with the stock Ibanez LoZ active pickups, they have the sound of EMG 707s which for those of you that dont know what the EMGs sound like, they are loud, powerful, bright, clean, and with the right kind of distortion and rig, it can just about bring done your house, trust me.

The paint on this guitar is actually what got my attention, it looks like a goth paint job, and from Ibanez, that means alot to me.

This guitar right out of the box was ready to go full force, just a tiny bit of tune tweaking and your playing in no time.
