Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I own a Gretch 6120, a Gibson SG Limited addition, and now an Ibanez S5470. I beleave that the Ibanez is built as well as any guitar built today. I've only had the guitar a month but Im sure it will be very dependable. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Like I said I've only had the guitar a mounth. I went through the guitar with a fine tooth comb and i've never seen anything like it, the Zero Resistance Tremolo is a work of art, the ball bearing system is nothing short of genius. General Your general opinion of this product. The tuners, the slim fast neck. the beautiful transparent black mahogany Body, the ZR2 Tremolo, the low action of the strings, the rubber cover over the nobs. This is truly a wonderful Guitar. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The neck is fast. The guitar is light, the controls are easy to get to, the only problem I am having is picking, there are more pick-ups than I am use to, it will just take a little getting use to. Overall playability and feel is great !!! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Depending on what combination of pick-ups you choose, you can cover the gambit of tonal possibilities. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? When I opened the case I saw the most beautiful Guitar I have ever seen. No scratches, no blemishes, just BEAUTIFUL! Action How was the action out of the box? I Like my strings low so it took about five minutes to tweak the action.

The Ibanez S5470 is a really good choice for intermediate to advanced guitar players wanting more from their instruments then what a mid-level guitar can offer. Makes you feel like you have a really high quality guitar in your hands. Love the rubber padding volume and tone knobs! Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is dark and full. The resonance is like a full thick body guitar. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? I have the Black Sunburst or TKS and it's a sight to behold. Coat looks full thick and glossy. Action How was the action out of the box? The action was set up nicely out of the box. Only a few minor adjustments were needed.
