Fantastic mid-low-end guitar!
Quality:
I just received the guitar 5 days ago. I cannot comment on dependability. I will say that this guitar feels solid and well-built. I own several guitars with which I have gigged many times and this guitar seems just as good or better quality than the others.
Reliability:
I cannot comment on reliablity as I've had this guitar for less than a week. As I mentioned previously, this guitar feels as well built as any I've ever owned.
Overall:
I like the guitar very much overall. The action is almost perfect. I plan to have it professionally set up, just to get the action a little lower and fix the bit of fret buzz on the low E. If you like the natural look, you will love this guitar. I don't do much whammy bar acrobatics, but the ZR bridge is VERY stable. Also, I rest my hand somewhat heavily on the bridge when I play, and the ZR doesn't go out of tune. When I do use it, it returns to correct pitch just fine.
Playability and Feel:
I just got an S520EX about 4 weeks ago. The S670PB feels just a little bit heavier, but not by much. I'm not sure why that is. If you've played an S series, then you know how the thin contoured body feels. I really cannot describe it, other than I like the feel. The Wizard II neck is the best overall neck I have ever played on. I love the shape, thickness, width, and the unfinished feel. Once the action is lowered a bit, it will be perfect.
Tone:
The tone of this guitar is just as good or better than my Schecter C1 Classic. In fact, somehow, this S670PB has noticeably better sustain, even though the Schecter has a more massive body, set neck, and Tone Pros bridge. Go figure.... The pickups are good. I play through a Boogie F30 and the harmonics just jump out with little effort. I still haven't decided if I will replace the pickups or not. I am very fond of Seymour Duncans, but these are pretty good, too.
Finish:
The guitar is as beautiful as it is in the pictures. The poplar top adds a lot of character. The back of the guitar looks like a piece of furniture. I am partially colorblind, but the metal hardware looks gunmetal to me (they call it Cosmos Black), and it just looks fabulous on this guitar.
Action:
The action was very good, but needs some adjustment. It is not quite as low as I want it, and there's some fret buzz on the Low E. Should be an easy fix for a pro. The action on these S series guitars (Wizard II neck) is the best of any guitar I have ever played. (I realize that this is really personal preference, so take that with a grain of salt.)
