Great Bass With A Thin Neck
By: R Brown from London, KY
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Ibanez has very good quality control. That was evident in this bass.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Lots of tone controls and nice hardware. That is one of the main differences between this bass and the bottom end of the SR line.
Your general opinion of this product.
I asked around about good basses with thin necks because I have trouble stretching for notes. Ibanez SR, Fender Jazz, and the Rick's were most recommended. People kept telling me Ibanez is consistant in their quality. Very important when ordering a bass without testing.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Medium tone. Not too dark. Not too bright.
How did the stain or paint job look?
My only complaint. The picture shows the bass having a light color top that really contrasts with the rest of the body. Mine is dark with an orange tint. Others have expressed the same issue. The main color of the top is darker than the outline of the bass in the picture.
