That is one of the main differences between this bass and the bottom end of the SR line. General Your general opinion of this product. I asked around about good basses with thin necks because I have trouble stretching for notes. Ibanez SR, Fender Jazz, and the Rick's were most recommended. People kept telling me Ibanez is consistant in their quality. Very important when ordering a bass without testing. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Medium tone. Not too dark. Not too bright. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? My only complaint. The picture shows the bass having a light color top that really contrasts with the rest of the body. Mine is dark with an orange tint. Others have expressed the same issue. The main color of the top is darker than the outline of the bass in the picture.

Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? With flats, beautifully punchy! Exactly what I was hoping for. I have a 5 string BTB model that has that same awesome punch. No other bass I own has that same "hit you in the chest" pop. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is sharp. The maple top is stained to more of an orange tint. Not quite as natural as the stock photo. But hey, it still looks great.
