Wanted an acoustic-electric more portable than my dreadnought but was concerned the thin body and electric guitar size would limit tone and projection. No worries. This guitar sounds amazing unplugged. Build quality is great. Very comfortable to play. Absolutely beautiful as well. I have an Ibanez Artcore AF55 also and it's great. Ibanez just makes quality instruments. Love it.

Do not buy an acoustic electric if you want to play unplugged the majority of the time-especially the shallow body ones. Plugged in, this Ibanez sounds fine, unplugged, not as much. If you want a true acoustic sounding guitar you need to buy one-a solid top, and mike it up. However, if you are not that nit-picky you can get this, not the same, but with processing is serviceable sounding. Unplugged with mike-not as much. I did take 1 star off to fret buzz on the E string. If I can fix it myself then I would top rate it for what it does. Is it as good as a solid top full bodied electric-no. Does it give you serviceable acoustic guitar sounds plugged-definitely. But just make sure you are plugging into acoustic amplification equipment that has at least a 3 band eq.

What a great acoustic electric guitar. I own quite a few guitars, but wanted one just for my home studio when I’m recording. This guitar is the ticket. Love the thin neck, which played great right out of the wrappings. It is a smaller guitar, but handles so easily and lightweight. I purchased the natural and the wood colors are really nice. Looks better than the picture. The price was definitely right for my needs. I would take this guitar out on gigs if I were to do them again. Very pleased. AMS had at my door in 2 days, they’re delivery’s are always prompt.

I'm mostly an electric guitar player. I was looking for a small body acoustic-electric with an electric guitar neck, but with decent unplugged sound. I kept this guitar for only about a week, and I returned it and got a Fender Redondo Classic. The Redondo Classic has the electric guitar neck, but with a dreadnaught body. The sound on the TCM50 just wasn't big enough for my liking, and it was hard for me to get chords to ring on the neck. It sounded ok amped up when all the notes were ringing, but it wasn't natural enough for me. It has an EQ, but does not have a tuner. Nice looking guitar though.

This was my 5th ibanez, second talsman acoustic. Was very dissappointed it was horribly unplayable out of the box, massive bow in the neck requiring 3.5 turns on the trussrod. Should have never left the factory that way. Now she sings better than the lower model I have but still not happy it was that way.

I have had my tcm50 since mid 2016 I did not have to adjust the truss rod at all I pulled a couple of the shims out from underneath the bridge to lower the action I put a set of elixir .010's on it sounds great without an amp sounds even better with an amp I actually run it through my zoom ac2 acoustic enhancer and through my PA direct it sounds amazing for 300 bucks what a deal now I'm go after I've had it for almost 3 years to buy the matching hard shell case can't beat it for fifty bucks. one more thing the sound hole pickup is much better than the paizo pickup of the TCM 10 which doesn't sound bad either by the way but to spend the extra hundred bucks to get the 50 is much more worth it. I play professionally out with mine now it's a solo artist I was in a full five piece band before play many a gig with it stays in tune perfectly.

I bought this guitar a few months ago looking for a thin body acoustic. I wasn't quite sure if I was making a good decision based on I never owned Ibanez acoustic before. Electric yes. When I got it and played it for the first time all I could say is WOW!!! I was so happy I purchased it. Then I plugged it into one of my amps and it amazed me even more. The quality of the guitar and the electronics are well worth the money. Don't hesitate on this one if your thinking of getting one. Ibanez could charge double for this product. As for AMS. Outstanding customer service and all the options to pay make it easy to buy from them. Defiantly going to buy from here again.

Very nice. I am mainly and electric player, so this is very comparable. It is not too big (it is a slimmer body than most acoustics - like a cross between an electric and acoustic)
very nice. I am just starting out, but my teacher played it and it sounds NICE (in the right hands)

I'd give it 4 of 5 for its build. Not made for the road, but it doesn't have that kind of price tag either.
Pretty sturdy. The kids play it quite a bit too and no problems so far.

Super light with a pretty fast neck. Doesn't hold tune for too long but it's still better than some of my other guitars.

For what it is it sounds Awesome. Rich full Acoustic sound when plugged in - That's where you want to use this guitar (or mic into a PA or something) . I just tested mine on a 10 watt Marshall practice amp....Sweet. For pure acoustic sound you would need a bigger guitar, but I didn't buy it for pure acoustic, only practice with it like that - which is still nice (just a little more 'tinny')

Superb craftsmanship.

I really like the thin body and electric guitar style neck.
EASE OF USE:
From open chords, lead licks, to barre chords, the sound is rich and full all the way up the fretboard.
VALUE:
Plays and looks like a much higher priced guitar. Definitely worth the price.
SOUND:
Plugged into a Crate acoustic amp, it puts out a sweet, rich sound. Has the nice bass texture that I was looking for in an acoustic electric.
