Teen Party's unlimited!
Quality:
Are you serious! We were all astounded at the deal we got with this PA system! It is made very well, much better than expected!
Features:
OMG! My 16 yr. old daughter owns an ipod with a docking system big enough to use every day in her room. But this amazing piece of equipment should be re-named.Because.. It's VERY best feature is the ipod dock! We were looking to see if we could afford our own DJ system for VJ's 16th birthday. The cheapest DJ we could find was $50 an hour! For our 4 hr. party...$200! Instead, we found this! For just a few more dollars she now owns an ipod dock that will rock the whole neighborhood. The microphone was great too, to use to call guests over for the cutting of the cake! It cannot work as a Karoake mic though, because it only works with the music turned off. Then again, the teens would tell you that they loved the ability to bring their own guitars to the party and plug into it!
Ease of Use:
My daughter made a "party list" of dance tunes on her ipod, set the ipod in the dock, turned on the ipod 1st, flipped a switch in back, and she now has the most amazing party tones! We rented a huge party room at a hotel and it was heard LOUD and CLEAR! And the best part is, we own it for future parties! Throw in a strobe light, and party all night! It is very important to read the manuel and follow the order of turning it on and off, even though most folks can tell how to use it just by looking at it. The manuel stresses the importance of following certain guidelines to have it last a long long time... probably, I'm guessing because most men won't read it until something goes wrong.
Sound:
The balance is an even sound that allows the party host (me) to relax and not worry about the music. It does start to crackle if you have the volume maxed, but maximum volume isn't needed if you want to be able to hear the person next to you talking! We just pumped it up to see how loud it will get. The sound is as good as any DJ I have heard!

Small With A Powerful Punch
Quality:
I've had this for almost 4 years now. My church used it for outdoor events which was great because of its portibility. No need for plugs everywhere. Just charge it and take it where you need to go.
Features:
The best feature is the iPod docking station. Just place your iPod in, and you're ready to go!
Ease of Use:
This was vey easy to use. Just plug in what you want and adjust the volume.
Sound:
The sound is great. i would not recommend putting your iPod at its highest volume and then putting the system at its highest volume. Just like any PA system, it would be overkill. Adjust volumes accordingly, and you'll be fine.
Value:
This was a great investment that lasted four years so far, and is not showing any signs of decay.

Quality:
well made. we travel with it often and don't treat delicately by any means. It is often left outside by the fire pit overnight and has survived this abuse well.
Features:
Sounds great! Awesome for Tailgating, block parties, or any outdoor party. Great sound and MUCH louder than any other iPod speaker. And the battery lasts ALL day!
Ease of Use:
piece of cake
Value:
yes. After three years of perfect functioning our battery is shot. Still, given how much we have enjoyed the thing & how often we use it we are happily looking to purchase another one. (ours still works great when plugged in, we just need the battery function for tailgating)

No. The cabinet is well built, but the rest is poorly executed. Based on our experience, we'd be shocked and amazed if yours functions to your satififaction beyond 90 days. We had such high hopes of using it for family get togethers, school assemblies, and church functions...but it just didn't work.
Features:
As promising as this product sounds, based on our experience it will be short-lived. Here are some facts about the unit and Ion Audio's business practices (as of 21Dec09) that you should know BEFORE PURCHASING:
1. 90 Day Warranty - that's about how long it took for our product to systematically malfunction. Our teenagers and we used the unit less than 10 times and never outdoors. You might even say it was pampered. And yet, it won't hold a charge and now emits no sound at all (regardless of the input device; in our case an iPod(G4 Nano, G1 iPod, and/or G2 iPod Video), microphone, and electric bass guitar).
2. Battery - oddly enough, according to Ion's own technical support staff (whose contact information was very difficult to find) you can NEVER overcharge the battery or allow it to drain completely, else the battery CANNOT BE REVIVED! Honestly, who builds batteries like that anymore or incorporates them into consumer electronics? We can't think of a single appliance that we own
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use...until it stopped working altogether.
Sound:
Music sounds better than the microphone.
Value:
If it worked beyond 90 days, it would be a good value...but it didn't.

Great buy! Perfect for Weddings!
Quality:
Very well made. Solid construction and strong handles.
Features:
Very good sound, even at maximum volume. Battery operated, wheels, handle, microphone, iPod dock, instrument input, doesn't get much better than this. In the same day, I used it for the microphone, played some music from the ipod, plugged it in to the xbox 360, and watched a DVD thru it. Perfect for any use. We are going to use this at our wedding instead of hiring a DJ
Ease of Use:
Super easy to use. Even complete newbies will have no problems with this.
Sound:
Very good. No distortion turned all the way up. Has some thump to it, which was surprising. Not muffled in the least.
Value:
Absolutely. Alesis sells the EXACT same product for $50 more.

More Than I Bargained For!
Quality:
It seems very, very solid and well-made.
Features:
So far, I like everything about it. I had no idea it would be so big and solid. I have only tried it in my office so far, but it neatly drowns out the yappy talk radio from the nutcase in the next cell. The tone is excellent, works off AC or battery, not mentioned in the ad. Love it. Good for anything from private listening to parties, to performances. You can plug in a guitar, comes with a mic.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to figure out, even for a non-techie old goat like me.
Sound:
Surprisingly good. I have tried some other iPod speakers that just didn't satisfy. This one does the job and more.
