HORRIBLE FACTORY ASSEMBLY!!! ON 2 DIF GUITARS!!!!!
Quality:
Im not sure if i just got very unlucky, or if jackson just doesnt care anymore. but the first guitar i recieved had an uneven fret which caused absolutely no sound to come out of one fret. And the second guitar i received after i returned the first one, had super high action, when i attempted to lower the action, it had an excessive amount of fret buzz, and fretted out on big bends VERY dissapointing for a jackson usa select series.
Reliability:
i havnt had it long enough to tell, and wont seeing as i am sending it back on a 3rd attempt to get a guitar worth anything. 3rd times a charm hopefully.
Overall:
very dissapointing.
Playability and Feel:
it would feel great, if it wasnt for all the mess ups on jacksons part.
Tone:
pretty bright tone. pickups were pretty hot after being raised.
Finish:
finish looked amazing, now if it could only play worth a darn.
Action:
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

This guitar is made for Shredders!!!
Quality:
mine are very well made, they have never broke down on me for any reason, I give the quality an 11 out of 10..but just like a car if you want it to run flawlessly you have to maintain your guitars, I dont care what your playing, it must be maintained
Sound:
All four have amazing tone, I am playing thru a mesa boogie power amp through a digitech preamp and a BBE..your amp is very important, you have a rinky dink amp or just any amp, cause you cant polish a turd, nothing is gonna sound amazing if you have a shitty amp...amp and guitar go together to make great tone!!!
Reliability:
they have way stood the test of time, I beat the shit out of them 5 nights a week and all my personal practice, Ive never replaced anything but a volume pot but only after like 5 years and a couple hundred shows and a few hundred band practics
Overall:
I own 4 of these guitars and the King V is all I play, I play professionally and have been playing Jacson for 20 years, the king v for the past 8 years, My V's go to band practice and play live shows every week and overall I wouldnt trust any other guitar but my King V's
Playability and Feel:
The feel is just right, not too heavy, not too light, well balanced, very fast neck..ok, here is my only dislike, I wish they would move the toggle switch and put it where they put it on the USA made Randy Rhoads and make it a 3 way instead of a 5 way.!
Tone:
They have great tone for that Metal sound, I can get a great fat chunky Metal sound and killer harmonics, the pick ups are hot,
Finish:
Flawless, Beautiful.!!!
Action:
The Action was great on all of them out of the box but like 100% of any guitar ive ever owned I took it to my setup guy and had him set them up, I like them setup a certain way

Trust me, I have 3 of these ---> Great guitars!! Period!
Quality:
These are well made guitars albeit more expensive then others, but worth it. The Jackson USA line does NOT make a bad guitar. The last reviewer may need to have his professionally setup, especially if he wants very low action. Remember, shipping a guitar may cause you to have to adjust the neck as well. Another reviewer mention gain issues. Gain does NOT come from the guitar itself therefor not a reflection of the instrument. It comes from the pickups. I have the same stock Pickups and NO gain issues.
Reliability:
Almost a year, and all 3 still play great
Overall:
High Quality you would expect from Jackson I have 2 KV2s and 1 KV2T. My only minor criticism is that they call the frets on the KV2 jumbo but they are not as big as the frets on the earlier Jacksons
Playability and Feel:
Thin wide compound neck that plays fast when you want to, very consistent with Jackson guitars. Good balance for a V guitar
Tone:
Good tone for a V as it is a Neck though. Obviously not quite as fat as a Les Paul but fat enough.
Finish:
I have the "ghost Flames", "Nebula" and "Silver Dragon". All are pro finishes and look great.
Action:
Very good, but I adjust mine a bit more to my liking. Most guitars are NOT going to be perfectly setup out of the box, regardless of the price. Thinking they are is an amateur’s misconception. - sorry

Great Guitar, Crappy Tone !!!
Quality:
Well Built, Solid as a rock, no flaws.
Reliability:
Have played it serveral times, always stays in tune.
Overall:
Great Guitar but over priced big time.
Playability and Feel:
Neck is great, best thing about the guitar. I had to get some frets worked on due to some being a bit high and I like low action.
Tone:
Tone is Flat, I mean Flat. I even replaced the TB-4 with and SH-6 and still doesnt have the gain as my other 6 guitars. I cant figure it out. Was very dissappointed in the tone. Sustain lags big time. Going to try a set of Seymour Duncan Blackouts.
Finish:
Paint job is great, thick and shiny.
Action:
It was ok, but I like it low for shredding. Had to have the neck worked on such as fret hight.
