Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
For around 3 bills, you really can't go wrong.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had this thing for a good 2 weeks, so don't have enough time on it to give a valid opinion just yet. I can say that it slightly goes out of tune, probably because the machine heads seem sorta flimsy-wimsy. I'm gonna replace these for sure.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
For the $, this is pretty cool ax. If you play mostly in a sitting position, it takes some getting used to.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
IMO, even though the body shape doesn't allow for truly comfortable seated playing, I still end up picking this one up to play, because of the sound and it's really cool look. The enjoyment of playing has to do with how you feel about the instrument you're playing as well, right? :-)
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The neck is fast and the pups are hot. Great sound for metal and rock. Can't say much based on playing other genres, as i haven't attempted just yet.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Aesthetically, the look is clean, as you can see from the images on this site. Very basic. I have the red and the glossy color is really nice! I don't even like the color red and ended up choosing it because I wanted something different from my black and grey axes. Bottom line, the color is pretty sweet!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The neck was straight, out of the box w/ perfect action. No adjustments needed on the bridge at all. I swapped out the strings with some Ernie Ball Super Slinkys, which makes playing more fun.
