Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? most jacksons are great. The expensive japanesse models are almost or equal to the american quality. Jackson's are to me what a gibson is to a 50 yearold guy. I have a charvel from the 80's. It is almost as old as me. It has a jackson jt-6 licensed floyd. That guitar will NOT go out of tune. I can go crazy with the trem and it always returns and sounds great. a brand new ibanez with an edge III (which I will never buy one with an edge III again) will not stay in tune if you use the whammy bar. If you bend a note on the ibanez it will not reutn to its position and keep the guitar out of tune. So Jackson (who makes charvel)has proved me over and over that there instruments are top notch. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I have only had it a week, but I have owed a king-v that never had any problems. every thing on it feels tight and the floyd always stays in tune so far. Overall Your general opinion of this product. This guitar is amazing. I have never played a neck through guitar that had so much resonance. if you play a big power chord, you can feel every string vibrating from neck to horn point. I was slightly aroused after that haha Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? this guitar is very light, which is great compared to my washburn dime. the balance is perfect, better than the king v. stays right where you want it. And like my old v it has the input jack under the big horn, which is cool when running the cord behind your strap. Then neck is thin u and is one of the fastest necks. Feels way better and stronger than an ibanez wizard II. very easy to play and having the lower horn the length it is helps you use your thigh to position it ( i play my guitar kinda low). My only complaint is the volume knob is to close to your hand ad doesn't have much resistance. To remedy that, just put a rubber o ring under the knob so its harder to turn and your pinky won't hit it and turn it down slowly like mine. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? you know, It took me a while of playing it to figure its tone out. The emg keeps it bright and the highs rolling, but the wood I think Is what gives it a sinister low/warm undertone. I know metal tone is dictated more by pick-ups and amp/eq, but this guitar has an awesome low bite that my other emg guitars do not have and It has to be coming from the wood. The emg is hot as you would expect. Emg is suttle. They sell 81's with different magnets in them and designate the magnet thats in it by the color of the emg logo on the pick-up. The emg that is in this jackson has a new log that isnt block letters and the logo on this is silver. The other emgs I have are gold box letters and silver box letters. Im not sure If its the same as the older ones or if it is an 81-x. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? the finish was excellent. I always look for imperfections like straightness of pinstripes, extra paint at joints, and imperfections in the clear. There was a slight imperfection at the tip of the top horn, but it may have happened when it was at the guitar shop, as i didn't notice it till after it was there. The fretboard had a mirror polish to it. I got the white with black bevels. The white is def. snow white. Action How was the action out of the box? the action was ok out of the box. the intonation was off. I took it to have it set-up the day after I got it. the nut had to have some slots filed and the saddles shimmed, but thats it. It plays like a dream now even with the action a little higher than I like.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Awesome Made !!! Reliability How has it stood up over time? Just got it. Seems delicate at the back of the wings. If you take care of it, it should last. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Very well constructed. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Very fast ebony fretboard. Just like glass. Light guitar. One control and whammy very easy to get to. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Bright and snappy, I use my Marshall AMP Settings for Dark. (BASS). Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Awesome. Like a M&M Candy finish. Supreme !! It did however have a little chip on the end of the long shark fin on top from shipping but AMS Really took care of the problem fast. Action How was the action out of the box? OK. I did adjust it further cause I like the Floyd Rose Setup a certain way and then I did the intonation.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Definitely made well. I just wish the case was made to "actually" fit the guitar. Then I wouldn't have to wait another 3 days to call it my own. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Reliability.. other than the chip taken out of the fin, I believe it's a guitar that will last me for a while. All of my guitars usually do. But this one seems like top quality. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Overall, one of the best guitars I've owned. Straight out of the box, the intonation seemed right on. Plugged it into my Peavey Transtube Supreme and it made it sound like I've never heard it before. The only problem.. I have to send it back because the top fin had a chip on the very end. This is due to the guitar not fitting snug into the case. And I guess when quality control shut the case, it chipped. Therefore, they didn't see it. The fin is right there at the edge of the case. Make sure when you order it, you tell them you want it inspected and the case "carefully" shut before shipping. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Couldn't be better. I give it a big 10. Not a heavy guitar. Definitely weighs less than my Halo Hellfire (Razorback knockoff). Fast, thin neck and the whole guitar in general sets just right. No more teeter tottering to get the neck to stay where you want it. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Tone was perfect. This is definitely going to be my #1 guitar on stage. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish.. as said before, "other than the chip taken out of the fin", the finish was perfect. I couldn't ask for a better looking guitar. My next goal is to get the white with black bevels for my C standard/backup. Action How was the action out of the box? Action was perfect right out of the box. It was tuned in standard when I opened the box, but tuned it down to D (even without a setup) and it sounded right on. No buzz, no dead frets. Can't wait until I get the new one in the mail so I can set it up for drop C on my DR 10/52's :D

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? this is my first jackson, what i can say is that the difference between my $600 prs and this $1000 jackson is huge, and the prs is a good guitar for the money as well.the jackson just feels more..i dont know exactly how to say it,but pecise.look at the usa jacksons feature wise, better pots, real mop inlays, better tuners maybe.there is something to be said for made in america quality, but for $1000 less, what are you really missing buying this guitar. Reliability How has it stood up over time? only had it for a month, feels extremely solid though Overall Your general opinion of this product. very happy with it so far, high quality workmanship from japan Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? feels very solid and fast, like you would expect.has a hard feel to it,like marble,or dare i say...metal.only complaint, the thick paint on the back of the neck feels slow,im thinking about stripping it and giving it a matte/satin finish. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? semi bright, even, clear, ringing tone Finish How did the stain or paint job look? finish was excellent,i looked over the whole guitar closely, paint was perfect, frets dressed even and smooth Action How was the action out of the box? the guitar was setup pretty good,no fret buzz anywhere, and you really couldn't go much lower action wise.this is my first floyd rose equipped guitar, and i was dreading having to change the tuning(standard to d standard)and the string gauge(9-42 to ernie ball skinny top heavy bottoms i forget the gauge)right off the bat. it took about an hour, but with the help of some you tube tutorials i got it figured out.to any noobs out there intimidated by having to adjust the floyd rose, just be patient and look for help online, thats my advice.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? This guitar is straight forward with a single emg81, double locking floyd, and only one knob(volume). Everthing is made of quality parts and has a very solid feel to it. There isn't any cheap flashy "bells or whistles" that you have to worry about breaking or shorting out. This axe is a beast, and the beast hates cheap plastic. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Only had the RR24 for a couple months, but not worried about reliability. Jackson knows what they're doing when it comes to building guitars, and the RR's are top of the line. This guitar is SOLID from end to end. Added Dulop strap locks straight out of the box, and started shredding. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Been playin guitar for 26yrs. Have owned more than 15 guitars and have played hundreds of guitars over the years, and this guitar rates in the top 3 and could easily take the #1 spot when I get my sound with this guitar perfected through my amp. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The fretboard is so smooth and neck is thin, it's like playin on ice. This axe shreds. The only knob on this beast is the volume control, so there's not a lot of crap gettin in the way of your pick or the tremolo bar. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Single EMG81 bridge pickup. 'Nough said. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The finish is intense. I got the black w/blood red bevels. All of the lines are straight. No imperfections anywhere. Action How was the action out of the box? Action is low and very fast. Jackson counter sunk the Floyd Rose to keep the action low over the fretboard and the pickups. Took a few minutes to get used to how fast the action is. Started gettin ahead of myself with my left hand and actually had to slow it down a little.
