I've only had the half stack for a few months, however as well as this amp is made I foresee no problems whatsoever with only a little bit of care. General Your general opinion of this product. I have every intention of using this amp for gigs and shows for years. I use it for hard rock and blues. Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The controls are very easy to use. Overdrive and clean. If you want tons of built in effects in your amp then this is not for you. I wanted a great distortion and a great clean tone and in this amp; I got it. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Like I said above, fantastic Soldano distortion and a clean tone worthy of jazz or blues. The Eminence Legend speakers in the JCA 48s cab make it even a better value. The only thing that leaves me a bit wanting is the lack of casters on the 4x12 - not a kid anymore and my back doesn't hold up like it used to. Reliability How has it stood up over time? General Your general opinion of this product. After lots of research and reviewing of many amps (The retailer guys must hate me by now!) I ordered the JCA half stack. Everything I read about the company and it's products, designer and price pointed in their direction and being a Soldano fan for years I could finally own one without killing the bank account. Right out of the box I was impressed and after I plugged in there was no going back. Give these amps a chance, believe me your ears will thank you for it!
