Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Has a bit of a learning curve. Dialing in "the right" sound is going to take some experimentation but when dialed in it is worth it!
How is the tone?
Better than Average Preamp. Not the most depth but great punch. You will never record a "weak" vocal especially when you add the transformer "IRON" to the channel. Compressor and EQ give you a ridiculous amount of options for shaping/creating your sound. The enhancer and de-esser are a must for vocals that really shine. Separate output switch is also useful for "riding the gain" when tracking critical vocals.
How has it stood up over time?
One year and counting. Have not gotten to use as much as I expected but well worth having in the arsenal for sound design.
Your general opinion of this product.
Love this product! The sound, the look, the build quality (heft). So many options for tone shaping. Good depth and clarity plus the option to "dirty" it up a bit. Just in a class of it's own.
