Product Rating Product Review This thing is friggin sweet. I don’t know that a better clean boost pedal exists at any price. Everyone says this is *better* than a Klon Centaur- I can’t comment on that because I’ve never used a Klon. But I can vouch that it’s the best clean boost I’ve ever used. Also it sizzles phenomenally if you want to put some hair on your sound too. So I use this with both a Gibson Les Paul Standard, and with a Strat equipped with CS fat 50’s pups and it will put an edge on both guitars if you want it to, or it’ll clean boost the heck out of your signal too if that’s what you want. I like to run this into a tube screamer sometimes and when you clean boost the signal and send it thru a tube screamer it really does some special stuff. But to be fair both my LP and Strat sound special plugged directly into any tube amp anyway, so make of that what you will.

Product Review Great when used as a clean boost but, even better when it’s time for you to add gain and dirty it up

Product Review I had an EHX Soul Food for years, and used it as on always on tranparent boost/drive. It was great as a kind of amp on the ground, EQ, and thickener in the 3 piece band I was playing in. The downside is that it could get a little brittle when the gain or tone was pushed. Eventually I sold it but always missed it a little, and knew I wanted a more high quality Klon type pedal. So far my experience with the Archer Ikon is that it is really high quality. It has none of the brittle, ice pick issues I had with the Soul Food (which is a great pedal too, but I just sort of outgrew it). What I think is unexpected about the Ikon is that it has a lot more low end weight and power. Even in the more boost type settings, it has a lot more thickness. I read online people calling this "compression", but I experience this as weight or bass or thickness. Also the higher gain settings are more usable and interesting than my Soul Food. And just like the Soul Food, or any Klon I imagine, it's great for stacking with another drive. I've never really liked stacking dirt pedals, but the exception are Klon pedals. Stacking with them is for me completely natural. It feels no different than if I was turning on a distortion/fuzz/OD pedal with my amp.

Product Review This little juicebox is wonderful. Gain dialed all the way down and level all the way up, tone knob about 12 o'clock, it's the cleanest, glassiest tone. Through a Fender, it's both warm and bright. I use this as a clean boost. You can't beat the price for a Klone.

Product Review This pedal is great if you enjoy stacking OD Pedals. I am a big JM/SRV fan and I use this as a light overdrive or I use it at the same time with my JHS Bonsai. I highly recommend this pedal.

Product Review Of the Klon clones, this one can sound just like the original. Having said that, you can use it as a boost, making everything sound bigger and more present without coloring the sound. Dial is glassy cleans or add gain to hit the front of your amp as hard as you like. Stellar pedal in every way.

Product Review Does just what I was looking for. I really was just looking to push the front end of my tube amplifier when on lower volumes. This pedal does not add noise and other colorful junk! My rig sounds like my rig which I’m real happy with.

Product Review I bought this on a whim to find out it is my favorite overdrive. I'm finding where more and more pro's are using these, like Trey Anastasio, instead of their coveted vintage Klon.

Product Review This pedal is very versatile drive pedal. I could easily see 2 of these on my board. As a clean boost, it works very well and creates a very smooth creamy tone, but when the drive gets set above 10 oclock, you start to see some crunch added in. Around 12 and above, you hit some serious overdrive/distortion. This replaced a Tumnus Deluxe, which is also a great pedal, but it did pretty much what my tubescreamer did, but this pedal stands out! I've used this for Rhythm and Lead guitar with many different guitars and it works well with gain around 11am-1pm, level around 12, and treble around 12. I get lots of compliments on my tone and I'm glad I purchased this.

Product Review I have used all kinds of overdrive pedals from Boss to Boutique and the Ikon blows them all out of the water. A really great overdrive for low gain settings to fatten your sound and also has a very nice lead high gain tone as well with just enough compression. If you are on the fence...go ahead and get one...you won't regret it.

Product Review IMO, greatest clean boost there is and excellent for pushing your amp into the "hot" zone or for driving another od pedal! Like it says start with the gain all the way down and level up and work from there. There are several "sweet" spots.
