I like the passive/active option...it changes the characteristics of the sound quite a bit. Pretty simple bass. Overall Your general opinion of this product. If I had to do it again I would go with a Schecter Stiletto Custom for around the same price...but I had a Stiletto Studio a few years ago and while the quality was way better overall...this bass sounds better to me.
