Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? So far, so good. I give this product a 5 overall. It works well with my Fender Clapton Stratocaster to test the 9V battery. Just connect the BOM into the cord jack, press the on button, and it tells you the current voltage and time left for the battery. Also works great on pedals without removing the batteries. I discarded two batteries that had not been used and found they needed to be discarded. Reliability How has it stood up over time? So far, so good. Overall Your general opinion of this product. The BOM fits a real need. I have used it for several weeks and really find it useful. Every guitar player that uses batteries needs this! Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The Batt-O-Meter is a good compact size and weight. It will easily fit into guitar cases or gig bags without taking up much space. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? NA Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Good looking and seems durable. Action How was the action out of the box? Operation - Just had to add the battery and go - after being sure of how to operate it. It's simple, but you do need to set it for the right batteries and know what the messages are on the readout. The only drawback is for testing AA batteries. You have to hold the battery to the contact on the tester and the probe to the neg end of the battery, both with one hand and operate the on button with the other. It's a bit awkward.
Works for effect, not guitars

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Haven't owned it long enough to rate dependability. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Overall Your general opinion of this product. The value of this product should be obvious to anyone who uses battery operated devices. Even if your device has a battery indicator it won't tell you how much life is left, which this does. The instructions show that the tester should be plugged into the input of device being tested. With some devices you will need to plug it into the output. If you plug it into the wrong jack the display will show that the tester is checking it's own internal battery. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Action How was the action out of the box?
