Very unique sound for a great price. Get the XD if you want more versatility. Get this if you want really want the unique sound this synth creates. I love when a synth doesn’t do anything digitally, so for $539 this is absolutely a steal for me. I used to own a Prophet 6 and it’s insane what this synth is capable of for such a fraction of the price.

I've been a Korg fan since the mid 90s and I must say they do not disappoint with this machine. This is an excellent synth.
it excels in many areas. it can create some fat bass sounds, to smooth pads, to sharp stabbing leads. All the knobs on it make for some easy twiddling and massive tweaking of its two beefy VCOs, it's 2/4 pole VCF, EGs, and simple but nice little FX section.
If you're looking to add a polyphonic synth to your rig, but don't have 2K+ to spend, I would highly recommend this small, but powerful beast.
the only con is the tiny little screen.

Despite having played on keys in various forms for many years now, I consider myself a novice to synthesis in general.
The Minilogue made it quite simple to understand the basics and fundamentals of analog synthesis and sound design due to its intuitive interface.
At this juncture, after becoming more familiar with analog synthesis and understanding the nature of sound design (the oscilloscope has been a HUGE factor) with the Korg Minilogue, I’ve become much more proficient with being able to make the sounds that I hear in my head a reality.
I’d easily recommend this synth to anyone looking for an analog synth regardless of their skill level.

This is a very nice analog synthesizer. It can produce not only big analog waveform sounds, but you can play chords with nice delay effects to enhance the patches. It also has a programmable 16 step sequencer that records all your movements. And its easy to use. Too cool !!!!

My honest review on this product is as follow. I wanted to learn how to use serum. And so I though by buying this product I would learn. I’ll tell you right now I learned what i wanted to learn and so much more. This synthesizer can create some crazy cool sounds. It makes it extremely easy to create Ideas on the fly. From Chords, to One shots, to Lazer sounds, I’ve even made growls with this thing. And after I learned how to use serum became second nature for me. I Hope this review can help somebody who’s struggling to learn synthesizer like I was. It’s a very affordable as well so a big big bang for your buck.

I watched the tutorials on both mono and mini logue. They have advantages ordering them together that MatrixBrute does not have. Especially when you already own a minibrute. So midi them all together and split them and combine them through a mixer and bam. Everything a Matrixbrute can do. I initially wanted the matrixbrute but there are other ways to get its mojo.

Only reason for 4/5 stars was in did hear the clicking on a couple patches other's mentioned in reviewing.also key size,but those I can overcome once I started hearing all the other patches and the fact that I can make and save 100 more . I'm a guitarist and I also have a SQ8,so this was new to me (synthesizer/programming)excellent learning keyboard for syth. Newbiesmh like me,I can also see these turning up in alot of studio's and probably keyboard rigs,because of its size and ease of use and sounds

I'm giving the Korg Minilogue a 5 star rating not only based on the quality of the product, but also the quality of AMS. The synth itself is arguably the best synth you can get at this price point. It is extremely light. Full control of VCO's ADSR's, 100 presets and another 100 slots to save the sounds you make. On top of that it has an amazing sequencer built in which I still need to dive into (watch the tutorial KORG made for it). But what really got me was the service the site provided. I've been trying to get my hands on one of these and every major music dealer told me there would be none until mid july- early august. When I chatted with AMS they told the exact amount of units they were getting and when they were getting them. No other company did that for me! To top it all off, the synth was delivered even faster than what I was told. This is for me is the one great online shopping experience I ever had. Thanks American Musical Supply.
