Sound:
Subject:Just What I Needed.
Quality: Lightweight body, sturdy professional-feeling pads (also touch sensitive), and a basic screen that does the trick. I don't like the fact that it's plastic, but it's still well-built for it's purpose.
Features: The touch sensitive drum pads in combination to the numerous features on the X-Y pad bring even the most monotonous MIDI sounds to life. And for the record: with the right software, this controller CAN play samples...I have many custom-made drum kits that I use in conjunction with this.
Ease of Use: If you've never messed with a MIDI controller, it could be puzzling at first to get the configuration right for whatever it is you're trying to do (your setup will vary from software to software. keyboards are pretty straight-forward). For the most part, it's very easy to use...and 'no', the instruction booklet won't show you much more than how to setup your physical equipment. I recommend running an internet search when troubleshooting.
Sound: It's a MIDI controller, it has no sound. :) (nah, it definitely variates your MIDI options as to what tone you're looking for.)
Action: Plug it in, download the CD contents, open the library editor software, and you're on your way.
Value: Yes, very much. I got my pK as a hand-me-down for $100. I definitely should've payed more.

Subject:Thump your way to sounds and beats
Quality: Seems to be well-constructed even if made of plastic. Top seems sturdy.
Features: I like the pads a lot. They really work adn are not hard plastic which I wondered about but are rubbery feeling but not too much like something gooey. As a midi-controller it's the bomb.
Ease of Use: I plugged it in, brought up Garage Band and instantly could play all the sounds I had. I need to map some scenes out though for more scale oriented things. I made drum sounds like a pro under scene 9 even though I am not a drummer.
Sound: It plays fantastic on any tone you have in your set up. The board is great for pounding on.
Action: Instant satisfaction.
Value: I think it was an excellent value. I hope it holds up, but then I have two years of warranty on it thanks to Korg and American Musical.
Do you own this product?: I own it.

Subject:boring!
Quality: pretty durable
Features: the features are decent, 2 assignable knob, 16 pads, x and y section, and controller midi.
Ease of Use: easy to use, NOT. this thing is a piece. trying to assign the knobs is like a horrible nightmare. korg's drum kit are pretty easy to load from the librian editor. and you can forget it if you want to load samples.
Sound: aiiiiiiiight
Action: a nightmare on elm st. and korg is freddie.
Value: it worth 100 dollars to be truthfully about. you can find a way better controller if you take what you'll pay for this and add 200. just my option.
