Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Nice all-metal body, sturdy substantial knobs and buttons. After a few weeks of steady use, the only problem I've encountered is a clock issue. When the unit is synced to USB and the computer goes to sleep, the system freezes. I suspect this is more a flaw in my computer's setup than with the Radias and either way is nothing close to a deal breaker. Just annoying

For me the step sequencers are my favorite feature. I use the Raidias to compliment my NI Maschine to build grooves and poly-rythmic sounds

Korg done a fantastic job on the Radias' layout and workflow. They provide a software editor which can run as a vst, which I was really enthusiastic about using but the layout on the unit itself is so logical and fast I find I seldom use it at all. Def 5 stars here

The Radias has def got a unique character. I'd say it's very digital, without being thin

How was the action out of the box?
Action? Well, I guess this is a good section to talk about a synths presets. The ones on the Radias imo, suck. Its a machine made tweak not a preset player. It's saving grace in this regard is its template feature. Each of the four timbres has various templates that help you quickly get started without doing all the work for you.

Was this item an overall good value?
$700.00 is $700.00, I won't act like it's not alot of money but in comparison to what else is on the market at this price point the value is tremendous

Built rugged like the old school synths, but with more modern technology.

The best feature is the ability to use the included editor software to edit the presets and control the unit. This takes away alot of the hassle of submenus within the unit. Everything is displayed physically on the computer screen and can be controlled with a click of the mouse. The only drawback is that it can't be used as a VST or RTAS plugin or integrate by usb connection to a DAW. You have to use a separate midi input on your computer. It realy would have been nice to have Total usb integration rather than to only be able to use the editor software.

By itself the unit is real easy to use and the factory presets offer alot of good sounds. As with most equipment though the manual is a necessity for really learning how to get this thing to really put out some awesome music.

How is its Tone?
It is like multiple synths in one unit. (1)The old school MS2000BR, (2)The original Micro Korg, (3)The new technology of the bigger brother M3. The sound is incredible, full and colorful detail, breathing new life into the speakers and headphones.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Plug and play, real basic to get up and running. Knobs and buttons avoid the hassle of scrolling through sub menus. Sub menus are still necessary for more advanced programming but larger screen and better layout makes it alot easier to navigate and understand.

Was this item an overall good value?
Awesome value! Looks are deceiving, some people would ask why pay $1000.00 for just a module when I could buy a whole keyboard. The answer is simple, you are paying for the raw power and control of this little analog modeling beast instead of the keyboard. You are getting the most for your money. Besides that you can control this baby with any midi keyboard.

It has tons on features. I just got it today and I have only touched the surfaced.

I just plugged it up and away I went. Yeah I know I'll have to read to get the most out of it but the basics are easy to figure out.

This is why I wrote this review. Right out the box it was lovely. I'm still smiling. I have all kinds of GOOD hardware and software synths but trust me on this, Radias is a beauty. If you've ever read any negative reviews, don't pay them too much attention. You will NOT be disappointed at all. I can't tell you in words how good it sounds. Before I purchased it I listened to videos on youtube and it was nice but having one in your control playing the music that you like takes it to an entirely different level. You can tweak it anyway you want to but IMO it set up out the box for dance music. It the best piece of gear that I've purchased in awhile and like I said I've barely scratched the surface. Oh yeah it integrates sound-wise very nicely with my other synths.
